Sorry to make this a dog thread again.
Before I go to the OT.
My Grandmother called me at 6 this morning. She woke up to her 14yr old dog dieing.
She passed.
The dog is mind of the only thing my Grandmaw had left.
I've never adopted a dog before, not looking for a dog from the "pound". That isnt bad, just want to know what I'm getting at her age.
Any service local from Houston to New Orleans that finds homes for dogs that sort of proofs them?
Edt: Called a shelter in Sorrento (Cara's).

That's a tough one. We've rescued three Giant Schnauzers and though we loved every one of them each came with issues.

Yeah she is too old for training. Plus she doesn't need that in her life.
But she needs something. She throws money at the grandchildren she is so lonely, thinking that might keep us coming around. We would go around anyway. She doesn't need to, but just lonely you know.
Going sleep there tonight with my pup.
Calling around, any recommendations are welcomed.
Edt: Didnt mention earlier but my Grandmaw called me 4 times this morning before 6:00 am. She was the only person she called to talk with, not her 2 daughters. Kind of choked me up.

I would wait too but I haven't played any game in 2 or 3 years now outside of a bit of South Park or something and I have the itch to play so I got it for the peasant machine.

Games just don't hold my interest. The story has to be really really good like the last God of War.
Maybe it's an age thing.

That isn’t a hard and fast rule.
I just finished Y’s VIII and, while the gameplay was decent, it was a standard JRPG affair.
The story was just a repeat of old tropes.

I'm starting to play more long term games. I've tried to start Metro, South Park, Shadow of Mordor, etc. and can't stick with them. Maybe I'm too old to learn new systems and control schemes

I used to play everything.
Anything that came out I played. Just don't have interest in games. It all seems boring. Rather do something else. Some good stories grab me but that is about it.
But I've also been more interested in the hardware than the games itself. That is showing more and more with the years.

I miss MMOs. Not for the time sink but for a world I can always jump in and out.
I've gamed a decent amount relative to the time spent gaming over the last 3yrs since City of Heroes (MMO) came back. CoH was previously shutdown for 6yrs.
However I feel the same way if it was a new MMO. I'm not going to pick up a new MMO.

I'm oddly enjoying BL3.
I wasn't the biggest BL supporter. Seemed like the console crew here on TD really got off to it, but enjoyed it.
It feels more of the same. Which isn't bad.

I bounce. Playing Classic WoW and enjoying it. No Man’s Sky is vastly improved but still needs fleshed our a bit. I’m intrigued by Eve but I have a business to run. Lol

I've thought about trying WoW again after decade. I hated it. It always felt too slow after coming from other MMOs like City of Heroes.
