Be careful with the 5700xt right now. The drivers for it aren’t the best. Depending on how fast AMD updates them, I may be sending it back to Newegg for an Nvidia card.

I've had a mionix alioth XXL for about 4 years now and got it for like $12 on Amazon. I don't plan on owning another mousepad ever

They are the same bench, the pay version I have just allows you to skip the demo and go straight to the benchmarking for the tests.

100% worth it to get it during a steam sale. Also allows you to customize benches if you just want to do CPU bench, graphics benches, etc
Really handy for when you're only overclocking specific parts

Sort of have the upgrade bug. I have a Gigabyte motherboard that has onboard audio issues that drive me nuts. Trying to decide if I just want a different motherboard and stick with the 7700k or if I want a cpu upgrade as well. I’m also thinking about getting a motherboard where I can have two or three M.2 drives and use them for most of my storage.
I have two 1080 in SLI and from what I’m seeing it might be best to wait another iteration to upgrade graphics. Decisions.
I will be getting a different case. The one I have is really nice but I want something smaller. Probably a Fractal Design. I liked the Fractal case I had a lot.

I have the Fractal Meshify C and it's so awesome. Looks good and keeps good temps.

UH, have you had any issues with your card? Crashes? Freezes?
I called Newegg just to see what my options were and they told me I could return it for store credit if I wanted. I would have until August 7th to do that. I’m heavily considering it if AMD doesn’t get it together by then.

When you updated to the new ones yesterday did you use DDU like before or just update over the launch drivers?

Originally updated on top of the launch drivers. I’ve used DDU twice since then to reinstall them.
I’ve had my programs running in the background freeze on me during Black Ops 4. When I close out of Blops, it still shows active in the task bar at the bottom. It doesn’t do that with Apex.
I’m curious if I do a whole new Windows install/reset if that will fix my problems.

Could have gotten a lemon too.
I feel like mine improved a decent bit with the 19.7.2 driver. I'm definitely OCing better.

Well that clearly isn't the case. Haven't read anything on many issues outside a few cases here and there typical of a new architecture launch.
Some of it is the developers needing to patch an update for the new cards as well. That usually only takes a week or two at most.

i just reinstalled windows and everything else. followed the previous instructions to a T. hopefully everything turns out okay this time around.

can you tell me how much of this stuff i need? the only thing i've done to the motherboard is update the BIOS for the current ryzen gen.
