I don't want 4K yet. 1440p with a high refresh rate is good enough for me.

I can agree. 4K feels like a "Meh" upgrade from 1440. Compare that to the leap you felt going from 1080 to 1440.

Much rather see 120hz, HDR, GSYNC/FREESYNC on quality panels with NO ANTI-GLARE film.

Everyone's favorite ripping Intel in latest video

Linus: AMD Threadripper has Intel in a full-on panic

Was not aware just how bad X299 is. Yikes.

It's not bad, just stupid. The whole lineup is dumb. They wanted to combine the consumer and enthusiasts lines the last few years. This was the first step but a rushed step in response to AMD.

Intel doesn't is still just working in theory since engineering samples have not been produced. Reason we do not know clocks. Once we get an avg range from the engineering samples then yields are forecasted with target envelopes set. This won't be out anytime soon.

BTW Intel is pissing me off more than nVidia lately.

PCIe lanes being held hostage when your consumer base is moving towards storage which inhibit that space is shtty. It was a problem(theoretically) when running SLi/CFx in x16/x16 but now it really is becoming an issue.

I might be. I dont know if my 1070 can handle 1440 at 165hz tho.

Cryptocurrency miners have really fricked up the prices of radeon cards. Cards that once went for 170 2 months ago are selling for 300 easily now.

I just upgraded my build with a Ryzen 7 1700, GTX 1070, 16GB RAM and a ASUS Prime B530-PLUS MB. I turn it on and get power, but nothing is coming up on my monitor.

Any suggestions on where to start troubleshooting?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a 6+2 pin is equal to a 8 pin? Or should I buy an adapter and hopefully that is the issue?

ETA: Fixed. RAM wasn't seated properly even after the 3rd time I put it back in. Noticed it when I took the MB out,

Hmm. Your psu may be struggling? Not sure

LINK

This dude had a similar problem ?

Search that subreddit for similar terms and see what hits you get. Pretty good spot for troubleshooting. Or post in the tech support thread

Yeah mining has taken off again these last few weeks, you can't find 570s or 580s in stock anywhere and they get bought up immediately, been that way for about a month now it seems.
