Was a non-issue for me. Still using the same DAC/Amp stack with my Q701s since 2013.

Still using Sennheiser PC360, most comfortable headset I have ever put on. That's the only thing I care about when it comes to audio besides if it works.

Don't see any 3600 CL15 kits except one that's gray and red. If the RGB shite gives me trouble I'll return them. They're 3600 CL 16. Almost got some 3200 CL14. Makes no difference. Latency limits speed limits latency and so on and so forth.

I went with 3200/14 for the sole reason that it was on sale for a lot cheaper than I could find 3600/16 and people said they overclocked fine at 3600/15 which is how I got there. It's not like we are going to notice the difference, so I went with price.

I got trident without the rgb's. I don't like lights in my PC

I went for some lighting and looks this time. It's a black case with a white interior. I went for orange cables and lighting. It's not garish. Just color themed.

I got the Gigabyte Z270 Gaming 7 as well. I like it.

I got the Z170 Gaming 7, which is the Skylake version. Good board except for the absolute SHITTY Creative audio chip on it. Please tell me that the 270 went back to Realtek?

No, it's creative. Mine isn't bad at all, sounds a lot better than the shitty Realtek chip I had in my Asus ROG. Doesn't have weird fricking echoes.

Onboard sound is just bad though, have to get something else if you want good sound.

Well the Z170 chip has a known issue where the sound suddenly goes crazy (underwater muffled sound and then loud screeches). If you aren't prepared, it will blow your eardrums up.

One of Gigabyte's techs even posted to a forum saying they have tested numerous RMA'ed boards and cannot replicate it (even though tons of people have the issue). Really pisses me off, but I don't want to RMA a board just for that.

In any case, I guess Creative fixed whatever it was in time for the Z270.

Sounds like similar to my issue with Realtek. My ROG would suddenly start transmitting my sound output. My TS channel would get pissed every time I started watching youtube. Same thing where it was just a small batch of boards, that's why I went creative this time.

Yea it's going to be a lot cheaper in Texas vs SWLA. Rental prices are OOC here.

Yeah. Only accepted this job because it was an opportunity to make good project money for the next year.

Received a temporary $20hr raise just to take this job. Really didn't want to work outside of BR/NOLA again after just coming back from Texas.

I just got my behringer xenyx 502 mixer in today. So far I really enjoy it with the ease of use over windows. It also has a built in amp for my headphones

When do you expect to have your new cards in? I don't have a damn thing for a custom loop right now

I can ship you some stuff. Just cover the shipping with a Steam gift or come get it.

You remember seeing that D5 pump with EK block? I have that and EK res, tubs and fittings.

Not in the diaster of a closet but in a container by the desk and on my little shelf thing.

Edt: or just give me that D12 or i3 that I never got back.

Moved on from the i3. Don't need it for another NAS anymore. Plus the price for itx boards for that chip are too high.

I'm going to take one of the PCs that died and piece together a Plex server. Have a 2600k, a couple of SSDs and HDs, RAM, MB, two 780ti Classifieds, a Seasonic 1000W Platinum and a white Define R5 with a window. I think that should work fine.

Don't think the Plex needs those Classes pulling 500w.

Love Fractals. Favorite cases outside of CaseLabs

Yeah. I tend to do overkill. If I just put one it then it sits on a shelf next to two 680 Classifieds.

I haven't ordered the cards yet. I need to get back into a normal routine and decide if I even like gaming anymore

Where are folks buying watercooling parts nowadays? From the same cokehead at frozenCPU?

I support overkill. I always do.

What I've learned from servers though is they can hear up a room. I wouldn't run that thing with more than 25W at peak.

I want to buy you another i3. I see them on hardwareswap for $50ish (Hardwell i3 right?). My friend took off with that computer I built him and I haven't heard back. I still have your noctua cooler though.

Maybe the next time I go down to my parents camp in leeville I'll stop by and grab those parts and drop off your cooler. I'll probably leave you with my h100 too, so I don't have to worry about it

I just ordered two 1080 Tis.

Coyote, where you getting blocks these days? Performance-PCs? Straight from EKWB? FrozenCPU?

I might go with nickel backplates, tone down the blackness a bit this time. Nickel backplates, black everything else, might set the MSI/Gskill RGBs to white. Need to get new tubing, Haven't changed the water since September 2014.

Was it neoprene or the rigid acrylic?
