Cant just put it in a vice?

They make a special tool for that now? That is awesome. PC gaming has really taken off.

Don't own one and I was never going to delid (too scared) unless someone created a tool that made it completely safe...and they did. Been trying to get one for weeks but out of stock so often, they can't ever meet demand it seems. I'm at 41-43C at idle @4.8 1.30v so we'll see just how big it improves for me I expect 10-15.

They really just sort of slide off. Practice on an old chip.

5.2GHz is soo kreayshawn.

What i've been eyeing down is rebuilding my NAS and making a PFSense box. I have old parts to do a cheap PFSense box with a celeron but the socket is too old. Hard to find the right iTX board.

But know its a waste right now. I'm not home all week for the next 3-6months and really do not need it.

I don't have an old chip I always sell the old one when upgrading, besides that kit will be here Friday no hassle no worry.

If you do build one make sure you fry 3 motherboards during the process, maybe a cpu too.

Oh shite tornado sirens going off...

Yep, if you recall my first and only delid attempt, I used the vice method and it worked well. That tool looks great though. I'll absolutely use that instead if I ever delid again.

Busy. Working nonstop until Friday.

I actually interviewed for another company back in March. I got the job, but have been waiting for an offer letter for almost 3 weeks. It's a big company, lots of red tape and delays. Meanwhile, I have to continue working these hellish hours, because without an offer in hand, I'm not going to give notice.

Are you coming work at the company I just hired onto?

1/6/2017 I interviewed for this position.

1/11/2017 they emailed me saying I got the job.

3/16/2017 finally received an offer letter.

3/27/2017 started work.

I started interviewing at other places in February because it seems like it would never happen. Just wanted to leave Corpus and get back to Louisiana.

This is by far the longest I've waited to start a job.

Did they release new ones?

I have 2 in SLi. Purchased in October and believe someone else on this board has 1.

Edt: posted pictures around that time also. Don't judge my shtty apartment. Was on a project away from home.

It's the same card.

Just OC. Already hit those speeds with custom firmware.

Edt: I can't really read the article in links at work. On a tight network and phone has shtty service inside.

But

Wtf is this article from tVerge? I'm not sure if this is even a different card from last year's XP. Not sure if it's even OCd. I will need to verify later.

Wait I see now. They released the full die. It's about time. I've been waiting for this.

I'm used to it though. Purchased the original TITANS in 2013 then they released 780 Tis with 192cores extra about 10months later. This is 6-7months this time.

Really no big deal.

Verge article was first on google search, replaced it with a Nvidia link.

It's got all 30 SMs unlocked unlike 28 like last years and the 1080TI

Here's a little paragraph on it. I'm still waiting on my 1080TI to get here.

quote:

Nvidia quietly announced a new graphics card in the Titan lineup: the Nvidia Titan Xp. Few details about the card are currently available, but from the information we have, we can deduce that the Titan Xp carries the same GP102 GPU on which the Pascal-based Titan X and GeForce GTX 1080 Ti are based, but with all 30 SMs enabled. The graphics card comes with the same high boost block as the GTX 1080 Ti, punching in at a whopping 1,582MHz. The memory clock is boosted from 11 Gbps to 11.4 Gbps. Considering the jump in specs across the board, the GTX Titan Xp is certainly the new king of the hill when it comes to graphics performance, at least on paper, with 12 Tflops or raw performance.

You can't just have 1 Stout. It will be a waste. Not powerful enough for 4K and all eye candy for AAA.

Always pair em!

I don't have 4K yet. Just want it to run my 3440 x 1440 set up.

Going to move my 1080 to my HTPC

Stout what are the best GameStops in the area for Amiibos?

I'm staying at a Holiday Inn around McNeese right now. So I'm hitting up those around here and a Toys R' Us almost daily after work. Nothing else to do, plus on a huge Amiibo collecting addiction since the Switch launched. One thing about Amiibos is the hunt. Not every store gets the same types or same amounts. So it is sort of fun going hunt them down. Yes I can just buy off eBay, but already spent tons on all the Zelda Amiibos. Needed those fckkers before finishing BotW, just cause.
