Been busy, just got a chance to sit down and watch the press event and read some early reactions.
I am excited.

Did some research and figured it was time to stop leaning on the knowledge of you all and figure out on my own, I ordered the above, I may go full retard and add a 2nd 1080, but not sure I want to go back to a 2 card system.
It will all be here friday so I know what my weekend will consist of, building and benching.

Idk why you upgraded CPU. But a 2nd 1080 is a must IMO.

I want to move my current one to my 2nd computer is the biggest reason and if I am upgrading I want some performance upgrade. I will see how my single 1080 does with the upgrades and go from there, I am not dropping $2K on a Titan X.

I didn't drop $2K. They were actually cheaper than what I paid in 2013 formy first TITANs. They are only $1200 directly from nVidia. Back in 2013 I paid 1300 just for 1 of the 2 because of rarity.
After blocks and back-plates the upgrade was around $2900. I'm good with that because next year will be a Pascal refresh.

2x1080s will be a hell of a rig. You will lock everything I lock at 2160 baring driver issues.
Edt: what 1080 those Stryxt (sp?) What is the PC on those? I haven't even tried maxing out my cards but I bump them up a little to 2100 ea in game.

Question, I lost the lotto on my first 1080 and it won't even do the stock OC in the ASUS GPU tweak (no I didn't rma, bad on me) but I can still OC the 2nd one right providing it's capable? Also does it matter what version you have with SLI, there are three different clock versions?

$650 on amazon for the base clock cards 1607 mhz, but I will pay the extra $30 or the 1936 mhz card if it doesn't down clock to the weakest card.

Sorry meant OC, auto correct changed to PC. Driving back home from TX right now and didn't notice. This stretch between Corpus and Houston is dark, lonely and dirty.

Well, you can overclock the new card beyond the other, and it may even yield a higher 3dmark score, but you should keep the clocks the same in games. The way SLI works is that each card renders the same amount of frame data at the same time (either half of one frame each, or alternating frames), so they both have to deliver equal workload on equal schedules. In fact, if the cards are clocked too far apart from each other, you may actually notice microstutter due to asynchronous rendering (i.e. card 2 delivers its frame or half-frame a little faster than you get card 1's). I'm only talking about traditional SLI here, though. If DX12 async compute becomes commonplace sometime soon, you can clock them however you want.

So my 4K monitor arrived to that guy shattered, and the shipping company I took it to in town to specifically repackage it, did not repackage it, instead slapped on a tag on the box and just sent it out.
UPS has denied the claim, stating it was not damage in shipping.
Luckily for me I posted the monitor on Reddit so I have picture proof from just 3 days before the ship date with my Username and date next to multiple pictures of the perfect condition monitor.
frick UPS and that local shipping company, but I'll fight till I'm broke even for just $600. frick that I'm getting my money back it was their fault.
And I'm legit sad that an amazing monitor like that went down the tubes from some shitty frickwad employee.

Good price, although you might as well just wait for the HBM2 cards at this point.

thoughts?
I say yes but really would like this card around $350. It is right below a 980Ti and resale for 980Tis used is around $350.
Edt: But it is new arch, so great driver support for the next 1.5yrs.

Any thoughts on ryzen I've been tossing around the idea of building a dedicated streaming PC separate from my main gaming rig my current CPU is a 4790k I'm planning on building after the first of the year and have been considering the 6800k for my main rig and using my old 4790k for the stream PC. Should I wait for or consider Ryzen or should I consider the 6700k for higher single core performance. HELP!

I would go to the local shipping company for the money first, and then destroy them on Yelp and other review pages when they undoubtedly say no. Then go to UPS and try to get past the customer service grunts to escalate it to a person who can think and make decisions.
I had this problem with FedEx, for a customer who needed to send a computer back to me to replace the motherboard. I gave him instructions on how to properly package the PC (a box in a box--it needs to be tightly packed and padded in smaller box, suspended and completely immobilized by an abundance of packing materials within another larger box). Instead, he had it packaged at a local place in Delaware, who simply put the PC in an undersized cardboard box surrounded by a few packing peanuts. Of course the thing arrived looking like shite. Luckily all that was broken was the case. Stupid bitch at the local place accused me and the customer of being in cahoots to make a false insurance claim, even though all I wanted was the $100-ish to replace the case. FedEx denied the claim initially on the grounds that it was improperly packed (that is the default response, always). The lady from the local shipping company was way too dumb to deal with, so I escalated the shite out of it with FedEx and ended up exchanging e-mails with a manager at FedEx corporate office before the claim was approved.
To this day, it shakes me up to even think about the whole fricking incident. How stupid that lady at the shipping place was, how quickly and unscrupulously FedEx denied the claim, and how much time I spent dealing with it.
