First time doing the punch-downs. I'd only crimped before. The internets made it seem like punching down ethernet cables was serious business, and that twist rates and lengths were an issue. But as ADD as I am, I just assumed I would for sure misplace a wire, or do half of them 568-A and the other half 568-B.

Sold my original PS4 on eBay for $240. So far I can say that $135 (Amazon credit) to upgrade to the Pro is well worth.
Will definitely tide me over nicely until Vega and beyond.

Finally back in my house. My gaming backlog is long. I may kick it off with Dishonored 2.
My QNIX QX2700 (the model before the Korean monitors with PLS panels started replacing the LG IPS panels) appears to be dying. Artifacting at times, or the picture jumps around, or sometimes no display at all even though it's recognized by Windows. Not sure if it got jostled around during the mud-out/packing/moving or just a coincidence. I don't think the power brick got wet or anything. Too much else to buy; otherwise I'd go ahead and get a 4K gsync. I may just have to settle for a QNIX 2710 or something to get me by for a while. They appear to be in the <$250 range and are at least overclockable. Or, any other suggestions?

Yeah, Vega is rumored for March or sooner.

Can I downsample from 5k to 1080p and still take advantage of 144hz monitor?

My new monitor has been through some shite

The little guy just want to get on his way. Surprise there is not a weather delay thrown in.
Did you get a 32" CrossOver? Idk you even ordered a new 2160 Korean.

No, not a 4k. My 1440P QNIX (IPS) shite the bed, so I ordered another 1440P QNIX (PLS). Buying too much other stuff (furniture and whatnot) to make an upgrade, so this is just a stopgap. I'll look into getting something nice next year, around the time I finally upgrade these 980s. I suppose this monitor will be a small upgrade, because they apparently overclock a little. My old QNIX didn't overclock at all.

Netflix only thing right now with 4K content you can watch. Cable companies havent caught up yet. 4K is your next gimmick. Then HDR.

I know I'm a total poor when it comes to TVs, but I ordered this for the bedroom (where I do 90% of my TV watching): Samsung - 50" 4K UN50KU6300FXZA - $397.99

Yeah, so many good deals on 4K tv's for situations like that you can't really go wrong.
