IS there anything out this spring?
Yes, the HBM2 cards come out early 2017 from AMD. Supposed to be March.

Why? AMD has gotten a ton better over the years, especially with drivers.

That will actually hold resale value.
God I hope so. I've no idea what this will do to property values in the next five years or so. Considering this neighborhood is not in a flood zone, I would hope values actually go up. I mean, this is a neighborhood where hundreds of 25+-year-old homes are getting full interior updates. You know a house is long overdue for one when you see one of those green toilets at the end of the driveway.

Yeah, my dad and I worked on my entire house to restore it after the flood. Didn't have flood insurance, so we just used the FEMA emergency funds to buy all the supplies and do it ourselves.
Redoing the kitchen was relatively cheap. Of course, the cabinets were already there. I just painted them. Cut our own boards for the countertop, glued down formica, backsplash. Honestly, the backsplash was probably the most costly thing other than appliances. Excluding appliances, probably spent about $900 in materials and tools to do the kitchen.
I've been through the kitchen renovation drill once before. This was what it looked like when I bought he house in 2008:
In 2010, I redid the countertops and backsplash and painted the cabinets:
After the flood, all of that tile had to be destroyed in order to remove the cabinets, let them dry out, replace the drywall, etc.
Once the cabinets were painted in 2010, wife and I never really liked the color that much, so we took this opportunity to repaint.
Move-in process has started. I am now waiting on delivery of a TV stand, two dressers, two nightstands, and a dining table. Assembly required.

Why wouldn't they work? We did a hideous fiber pull in an office building today. Certified first time like the professionals that we are.
