So you're going to get 32GB variant over 16GB if/when available?

Also, sounds like Gears Of War 4 on PC will be the first UWP title to get a lot of the new features available to UWP now.
quote:
"Our focus on PC is to deliver a highly optimised, customisable experience first and foremost," Rayner tells us.
"Support for v-sync tearing has recently come to UWP and we will be able to offer proper unlocked frame-rate support that gamers expect on day one. With Unreal Engine 4 and our own custom modifications, we can take much better advantage of multiple CPU cores, alleviating the game from being CPU-bound and allowing more room for the GPU to shine with enhanced visual quality or higher framerates. Single-player will not be locked to 30fps on PC."
quote:
Rayner also listed "a few items of note" the team are adding to the PC version. In his own words:
Dynamic resolution support (any resolution will be supported with a sensible dynamic field of view - including ultra-wide).
Increased texture resolution (up to 4K resolution for select texture groups).
A benchmark mode.
Full keyboard/mouse input remapping (including cover/run and roll split).
Far more comprehensive video settings.
"Today we sit at 28 different settings and we're thinking of ways to add more for people to really have full control," Rayner tells us. "Along with more settings, we're putting extra time into making it clear what impact a setting will have on GPU/CPU/VRAM so there is a clear correlation between a setting change and its performance impact."
Some of the work designed to give smoother Xbox One performance is also being redeployed on PC in order to further enhance the experience.

I don't think they will have a 32GB HBM2 gamer/consumer card. Those skus will be put out for the Tesla GP100 cards. I do believe we will get a 16GB HBM2 card for the "Big/Full Titan".

Who knows, I've heard 32GB linked to Vega a decent amount of times. I'm good on 16GB though.
Posted on 7/22/16 at 10:23 pm to UltimateHog
Think it's linked because of compatibility, just no reason for them to do it.
But then again like you said... Who knows
Remember when nVidia launched that flop of a TITAN Z for $3500? Maybe they will launch a Titan Z but instead dual GPU it's double the HBM2 @ 32GB!

Installing a Hyper 212 Evo for the first time is not fun.

Why? That is an easy cooler to install.
Mobo problems?
Mobo problems?

No just first time CPU fan problems, was just being a little shy at first and it also doesn't say shite for 1151 other than it supports it in the instructions so I had to guess the alignment. There should be no problems from double dropping it right? Didn't make a mess with the thermal paste or anything.
Also about to do a test boot before I go all in, here it goes...

Some MOBOs have resistors on the back side that get in the way of mounting brackets. Its the worst.

Middle holes for socket 1155/1150/1151
Lifting the heatink and placing it back on without respreading the thermal paste might create small pockets of air, so check temps.

Which would be better, a powerline adapter or a PCI/USB n600/n900 wifi adapter? Strictly for gaming performance

My PCI N900 gets me 120-150 down and 20-30 up.
Your mileage may vary. I have really good wifi.

I have 18mb plan with uverse, and I'm too lazy to run a 200ft cat5 cable through the attic.
I just want to have the best possible ping for games
Edit: did you get the ~$40 pci n900 by tp link

Couple of quick questions.
1) Any reason I shouldn't hop on the free Windows 10 upgrade bandwagon this weekend before it expires? Currently on 7 and like it fine. Is 10 relatively good?
2) I'd be comfortable with throwing 200-300 towards PC upgrades. I play games such as Cities Skylines, Banished, Arma III, the Total War Games, etc, as well as doing some productivity such as Photoshop, Lightroom, and Sony Movie Studio HD Platinum.
Do I have a significant isolated bottleneck in the below set up? Or are things paired off enough such that I should wait til I'm willing to spend more and do a complete refresh? Wouldn't want to spend more than $200-300 at this time. Interested in keeping it relatively up to date.
CPU: Intel i7-4770K CPU @ 3.5GHz
VPU: Geforce GTX 760
MB: Gigabyte Z87X-D3H
RAM: 16 GB
Solid State Drive

No reason not to go with Windows 10. Download your mobo drivers for Windows 10 and go for it.
I have the same CPU. No bottleneck issues. For your budget, get either a GTX 1060 of AMD RX-480, and an aftermarket cooler of some sort for your CPU so you can put a small OC on the CPU.

Am now officially a PC gamer again, I'm really loving my new rig and the Fury is blasting anything I throw at it. Will try to find out how to share some pictures of it.

Yeah, really no reason not to upgrade to 10. One-Year Anniversary Update is right around the corner as well. I am part of the Insider Fast Ring so I am constantly running new versions of 10 and haven't had any problems with any of them.
