Reusing the name and it's not full Pascal, a bigger TITAN will be released around or after VEGA with HBM2. We know GP100 has HBM2 because we have pictures of the EE SKUs.

How is HBM1/2 compared to GDDR5X? Pretty much the Fury and Fury X are the only two cards that have it, just 4gb's though.

But that aside, not being HBM2 is terrible combined with the price markup.

What's said is that this will compete with VEGA then the full GP100 with HBM2 will be released.

Just no competition it seems, this is what it looks like.

Oh for sure, no market there without HBM2. Nvidia will not do well here, but they can afford to just throw this out there now for a .5% market.

Yea I know right.

I might buy 1 but now that I know it's no doubt GDDR5X. Fckk.

But the nVidia sells other cards with HBM2 with the Tesla cards. Thet are under contract and must provide or those first. This is probably why we won't see GP100 TITANS yet.

We'll see, I think they missed with most of their fans tonight, not being HBM2 is a large letdown for many. Throw in the $200 founders edition mark up, and I don't see it matching expectations.

I don't know anyone can justify spending $1200 for a GPU on a gaming pc.

Plenty of cards capable of 1080p/1440 gameplay that are priced less than half of that.

This is not the first time.

Many of us here already do so, and thats not counting blocks. 1440 is old news also, 2160 is here. The problem we are having is that it is GDDR5X and not HBM2.

No you are right. The majority of gamers are still at 1080 even though 1440 has been mainstream since 2012.

$1200 is retarded for what is being offered, but its come to be expected. The issue most have is that it should be HBM2 not GDDR5X at that price point. If it was $999 like all other TITANS, then the lack of HBM2 wouldn't be an issue.

I'm just saying that some of us are used to spending almost double that on our 1.5-2yr upgrades just for GPUs. Now that is just inside this TD forum. Think about outside. A lot of upper tier PC builders who don't mind dishing that out.

Just wanted to point out that I have a job interview with a local company who is looking for someone to help build gaming pc's for their business. They do a little bit of everything but this is their main money maker. Hope I get it!
