Officially added the LG 4K FreeSync display to my Amazon cart! It's time.

It is.

Have been waiting to upgrade to 4K but 1 needed ARCH out there which could push it and 2 need cheaper 4Ks.

I'm thinking about going to single monitor 4K on the gaming rig and just use one of my back up rigs as my everyday driver. Move my 2 1440s and 40" TV to be powered off the backup rig and just single 4K on the gaming.

Now I just wonder if we'll see 8GB/12GB or 12GB/16GB of Samsung HBM2 glory.

12GB would be fine and I think GP100 can support 12GB. 2xGP100s will give you 24GB of VRAM in DX12, think that is enough.

VEGA can do up to like 24GB of HBM2 per chip?

I dropped 2K about a month ago now on a 4K 65" Samsung TV, so that has held me over on the 4K PC front until the HBM2 cards.

I'll stick with the single 4K main monitor with a side 1080 that I use now and sell my 1440/144.

Yeah I just hate firing up the gaming rig. The D5 Pump and 12fans are quiet but not silent. Plus everything is OC'd so the room gets hot. Think I will just use my gaming rig as a gaming rig and do everyday driving on a backup like I used to.

Paying that much for a tv seems hard. TVs are almost useless in this house. I do need to upgrade though.

Which Samsung did you get? I really want to wait to upgrade the livingroom tv to 4K until we get Neo and 4K blurays.

Samsung 65" KS8500. LINK

I only got the curved version because it was mistakenly on sale for about $100 less than the flat version and they honored the price. Amazing TV, worth every penny IMO.

I would like a curved version only in a small/smaller room. Our living room is too open thanks to mid-2000s stupid open floor plan layouts.

Thats a nice set. If you are spending that much, why not OLED? I like Quad displays just as much as OLEDs though. They both look awesome.

Edt: Curved soundbars

4K OLED panel is still too high for a 65", 2K gets you a 55" 2015 OLED model and the 65" 2015 model is 3.5K. 2016 model 65" is 5.5K.

I'll get OLED when it becomes mainstream and hits the price points we're seeing now for high end 4K LED sets in another 3-5 years.

And while I'm sure the LG OLED sets are great, LG absolutely sucks at 4K non OLED so that alone gives me too much hesitation to buy into an early adoption of LG OLED when Samsung is so so far ahead at 4K features and panel technology at the LED level, I can only imagine what Samsung will deliver with OLED.

Oh wow. That is not worth it at all.

At 4K I wouldn't get anything less than 65" for a living room TV.

Where did you buy it from? Best Buy or Amazon?

I actually bought it from Walmart online, they had incorrectly discounted the curved version to cheaper than the flat version (curved is $200-300 MSRP higher than flat) so I jumped all over it and they honored the price. Checked the site an hour later and it was back to $200 higher than the flat panel.

Dude Walmart really does have the best prices on TVs. I was looking at that this weekend.

We do this price matching shtt also. Sometimes they don't even check if its the right item, just the brand/type of product.

I wish the Strix had hit the street already, I am moving this weekend and this would be a perfect time for me to pull the MOBO and install the new cooler along with the new video card.

I think I will find one in the next 2-3 weeks, now in stock is showing them more and more (they go quickly.)

Also how long after the GP 100's are release will they actually be available ala the 1080?

The 16 GB variant could feature four HBM2 stacks over a 4096-bit memory bus

I'd put the Over/Under at $1400.

EDIT: Actually, wasn't the Titan X MSRP close to that? So, maybe $1500+ for the 16GB variant.
