HyperX is minimalist. Kind of why I chose them for my build, plus Kingston is one of the top 2-3 brands for memory.

This is incorrect, AMD released Low Framerate Compensation last year. Freesync has no minimum range. #Crimson

Well, it's worth mentioning that gsync has always had this feature, and it's a hardware solution enabled through the gsync chip, vs. a software solution via Crimson. Software solutions to compensate for hardware limitations are generally imperfect implementations, but I say that having not seen either solution in person.

But it's not as though 48hz lower limit is bad. Apparently the freesync panels can be "hacked" to increase the range (the ultrawide in question reduced to a minimum 40Hz according to someone on reddit). Overall, PC gamers don't need to be playing below 50-60fps anyway, so to me there's no considerable difference between gsync and freesync, other than the massive #nvidia premium.

I've read it's very good as with most Crimson related things, but never get low enough in any game to see personally.

Yeah that one guy in this thread was I think going to OC his Asus with that hack to get a better range.

Does anyone defrag anymore, is it even worth it? I used to be a big defrag person but not so much anymore.

That's what I thought, my Intel SSD seems to be slowing down with age. I have the 500 gig SSD coming but that will be for games so I can take everything but the OS stuff off of it.

Thoughts on this laptop
MSI GP Series GP62 Leopard Pro-002 Gaming Laptop 5th Generation Intel Core i7 5700HQ (2.70 GHz) 8 GB Memory 1 TB HDD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M 2 GB GDDR3 15.6" Windows 8.1 64-Bit LINK

Is there a better bang for buck? Need to remote work from home and game.
Thanks

Terrible GPU. You want at minimal a 970m. U could get away with a 960m if u just play maybe MOBAs or something not too demanding.

Are you upgrading your monitor and GPU or buying a new laptop, or both?

Possibly both. Need to get s laptop soon and although I don't need the monitor/gpu upgrade I think I want to. It's like an addiction once you start watching newegg sales.

Typically Amazon with Prime shipping or tigerdirect if needed, but Partspicker will also recommend some sites you don't know about.

Please someone explain this to me...

Why do people wear huge hats on commercial flights when we already do not have much room already?

What, your company doesn't fly you first class?

They always put me on the cheapest Delta flight or Southwest, depending on whether I feel like driving to MSY.

Last time I flew, the woman sitting in the middle claimed armrests on both sides immediately and didn't move her arms even once. I thought the protocol for having a middle seat is deal with it, tough shite, you get no arm room.
