My new mobo and CPU arriving today. Will be finally able to hook up my new video card.

Only need to bide time until I pick up a new PSU so I can get rid of the cable clutter.

What combo did you end up getting, the i5 4690K?

I just bought the EVGA SuperNOVA 750w on sale on NewEgg, fully modular, gold certified, normally $120 on sale for $94 with an additional $25 rebate making it $69. Steal.

I remember when Seasonic and XFX PSUs had deals like that, but lately the best you can do is a non-modular Bronze for $90+

Really want one of the Samsung 4K's whenever they finally come out, was supposed to be a month ago, the UE850 and UE590.

Aaaaand guess what launched today?

quote:

Samsung on Monday announced a couple of new 4K (UHD) monitors with AMD FreeSync support. They include the 23.6-inch U24E590D and 28-inch U28E590D. Though they both boast a 4K resolution and AMD FreeSync capabilities, there are some key differences other than just display size.

The main difference is panel type -- the smaller display uses a PLS panel while the larger model wields a cheaper TN panel. That gives the U24E590D greater viewing angles at 178 degrees for both horizontal and vertical compared to the U28E590D's 170-degree horizontal and 160-degree vertical. However, the U28E590D has a higher brightness (370 cd/m2 versus 300 cd/m2) and lower response time (1ms versus 4ms).

The U28E590D is available today for $600 MSRP and the U24E590D will be available July 26 for $400 MSRP.

The 28" is a damn TN panel though, but still, $599 for a 4K FreeSync Sammy is solid.

I bet 23.6" 4K has near-zero visible aliasing or texture shimmering, but that's just too small for my workspace. I'm betting the 28" TN panel is not Samsung's panel.

This was too cheap to pass up even though I don't need it.

This seems like a theme with CyberPower.

VeteransGamers host also had a rig he purchased within 6months-1year with a dead PSU. I wonder what they are putting in their rigs.

Well, if someone can help out, I'd greatly appreciate it. No matter what I do, I get some quiet white noise in the background after a minute or two of listening to music/playing games.

I've already gone to Gigabyte's site to download the newest audio drivers, but it hasn't helped.

For reference, the motherboard is Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z97 and the audio driver is Sound Blaster Recon3Di.

Edit: Just toyed around with it some more. I was able to still hear the noise after I disabled the audio device. Must be a funky connection at the jack.
Edit 2: there was some control panel for the audio that had Pro studio equalizer or something. Turning that off has decreased the audio quality, but I haven't noticed the white noise yet. Maybe I'm out of the woods.

Forbes’ Jason Evangelho went as far as to call the game “hot garbage” and recommend that potential buyers hold out until the game’s in a better state before making their purchase.
Day one issues have almost grown to become the norm in the gaming industry, and that’s disappointing to say the least.
