All this talk about pressure and fans has reminded me I really need to clean my filters.....thanks, guys.

Pair of 780 TIs for $450ea and blocks/backplate. Free D5 pump with EK top and sleeved cables for free if you buy both!

So my wife was pissing and moaning about her slow laptop over the weekend.
I ordered a Samsung 850 EVO to go in it and installed it just now...damn, even though I have been running an SSD for years on my gaming systems, I just can't get over how it can make even a shitty HP laptop screaming fast. Damn thing boots in about 12 seconds with Windows 8 and it only has SATA 2 interface.
She's at work so I did it all sneaky like to see if she will even notice.
So the drive I removed was a 1TB Samsung 5400 RPM drive. I bought an enclosure for $7 just to get the cloning cable for cheap. Would a laptop drive like this be worth using as a backup or NAS type of disk?

Might as well use it for something.

I love putting a SSD and fresh copy of windows in an old PC.
You walk away feeling like a God.

So I've decided I'm going to build a new LAn/HTPC build. Think I'm going to try to build it in the Lian li pc-tu100a. That thing is extremely small.
My only problem will be finding one of those itx 760s for a good price. I'll likely do the tek syndicate iPad retina display mod (except make it look 100x better) and use that as my mobile monitor when I lan
Edit: well shite, I didn't realize there was a slightly longer version (pc-tu200) that fit full sized cards. Definitely going for that one now

What is this LAN? I want to LAN.

My biggest issue when building my HTPC was the GD PSU. Thankfully I ordered this and have tons of room now.

Can't open the link on the network I'm on right now, but is that the itx Seasonic?
I have the modular 450w one in my HTPC and a 300w non-modular in the FreeNAS.

It's a 600W Silverstone (SFX form factor)

I have the 450w version of that in mine now. That silverstone sg05 was terrible to work in, but oh so tiny.
The Lian li pc-tu200 actually supports an atx PSU too, and from builds on Youtube it doesn't look that bad.
My biggest problem will be finding that damn case for a decent price.
Edit: Anyone have any z77(or h77, etc) itx boards lying around? Just traded my mobo for an i5 3450, which I'm pretty pumped to upgrade from the 760k

I think it's about the size of the Cooler Master 130 I used. Maybe a tad smaller.

Yea the CM is a tad taller and longer. I like those itx cases, but the handle on the lian li one is going to make carrying it a helluva lot easier

Sorry, just a few FM1 and FM2/FM2+ boards. Only iTX Intel
board I have is being used in my HTPC.
I love Lian Li BTW. I have tons of unused Lian Li shtt. Their stuff looks so good I would just buy it and never use any of it.

Their stuff looks great, but it's always overpriced. This will likely be my first lian li case

I know I'm super late, but damn if mods can't make Skyrim a different game.

The guys that use that mod are the same ones that have the kinky sex scene mod for origins
