I'm just throwing myself into the fire

ran across one boy last night who must have dropped $150 worth of points on his team. Dude had pretty much all the 'best' players that you can currently get.

I kept it respectable, only lost by 6 but it's not easy when your fastest player has 82 speed

Played on Heisman yesterday. Went 9-5 with Liberty. Started 3-4 and finally got into a comfort zone and won 5 straight before losing the conference championship game badly.

The intermediate passing game is really difficult. I find myself continuously soft lobbing passes 15 yards down field

Are you using the passing meter? Tap/hold?

I transitioned pretty well with it so far. The kick meter and option mechanics are still a pain though.

This is the kind of shite i don't want to deal with in dynasty. So now i have to worry about getting my juniors and seniors stats rather than just playing the game?

Yeah, I’m a nerd so the back office stuff (like recruiting) is what I love about these games. I think the school grades are far too volatile.

My coach prestige went from a C to A+ for winning the CFP. Not totally unrealistic but probably a little too quick for 1 title. (See: Orgeron & Chizik)

Mentioned pro potential

My coach stability went from an A to a D+ because I only have 2 years left on my contract and my coordinators 1 year. No option for an early extension.

Probably need to balance all of that a bit.

It's remarkable how quickly you can revamp your roster with the portal

After my 1st year at UNT, I cleaned up in the portal and now my team is a good 4 rating points better than the other closest team in the conference

Yes, I understand the mechanic in theory. And with short and long passes I have success, and when I don't, the actual pass still makes sense.

However, if I don't throw in the yellow/red for the intermediate throws it looks like I'm an 11 year old trying to make a 15 yard pass.

Nothing wonky about A&M winning the natty in season 2 with Weigman winning the heisman

Nothing weird about that at all......

Defense is hard in this game.

Still trying to figure out the best way to do recruiting as well.

Playing as App State. They have a few good receivers a stud RB and a pretty darn good QB.

Just an OC

what I found a little success with is basically looking at your needs, ranking them by position, then once you scout your players, you need to offer ASAP and then go all in on them

When you are at a smaller program, you don't have the time to F around with quality under recruited players. You need to get then committed ASAP

it's absolutely pathetic that Auburn only has like 6-9 plays that are "Inside Runs" and none of them are dive plays. they're all inside zones.

Auburn's playbook is pretty bad. It is disappointing. Going to have to do some research and find a better one.

Loving the gameplay so far. Had to switch to classic passing mode, just can't get the hang of the new one. That helped some, but really struggling to find plays I like too.

kick meter sucks! just make the kick like swinging a golf club with the joystick!...and is there 2 min warning in college football now? that shocked me on one drive

This. I had 3 or 4 guys I thought I had locked in, only for a Power 4 team to swoop in at the last minute and snag them.

Yep. I had a 5 star QB that was all in on the mountaineers.

But then he decided to go to Southern Cal. lol. Probably was dreaming too big.

Yea I made that mistake in my first time through

The interest meters can also be a little deceiving. It can look like you are way up on a kid but in a reality, you aren't even halfway through his recruitment

I had one kid that I spent the full points the first week, did the send the house and everything. Was 1st on his list. The next week, I was 4th by a very wide margin, this was the first week of the season. What?

How did other programs gain that much in the very first week?

Yep, if you’re almost to the edge in Top 8 or open, it really means that you’re basically a big team scholarship away from 2nd place

The only time it matters is Top 5 or Top 3 then you’re close to holding them off. But if they hard sell, they can fill a whole segment in 1 week.
