I believe I read something about being able to enter in what choices you made in the previous 2 at the beginning of ME3 (not sure if it was just a rumor). Hopefully that is the case.
If you import your character from ME2, then you max level is 60, if not a mere 30(which is where you start with your import.)

Mordin was the only one that died for me (and I had his loyalty). He was my favorite character, so I'm unlikely to use my old save when I play ME3 since I don't really feel like playing ME2 all over again. You can reload the the game at the point of the final mission and prolly save him. Just send him back with the crew. You may end up losing someone else, but you'll have Mordin.
I do beleive you get a bonus for importing.

I read the supposed leaked endings to ME3 and if they're even partly true man is it disappointing.

everyone keeps saying this ..... frick

To be honest I'm too emotionally invested in the story but like the TV series LOST, if it ends badly I will rage so fricking hardcore. (In actuality I will probably just fire off an angry message board post and get banned from the Bioware forums but I digress)

Tell me about it, the PC version leaked and the files have been datamined. Those are the only confirmed endings and from a viewpoint of investing five fricking years into a series and being shite on like this.....damn

I saw it as a warning sign that Drew Karpyshyn left Bioware.(For those who don't know that's who wrote the original Mass Effect script and the three novels.) Much like the original creators of LOST leaving and the replacments fricking the ending up, I saw that as a big "oh shite this game might suck" moment.

I've heard a few of the endings and I don't see them as bad. Dark, but I wouldn't say bad.
The guy reviewing the game at IGN has been giving it props, but he hasn't finished it yet.

I think that the reason I'm so irritated is the fact that they championed the Mass Effect series as "play it your way" and that the player had "total control". But if rumor holds true those principles were patently false.

I can get with that line of thinking if there had been an inkling of that in the previous games. Almost no part of ME1 and ME2 led me to believe in the grim/dark. I was thinking (poor choice by me) that we would have a greater variation of endings and not be railroaded into variations of the same thing.

I don't know why, but my expectations for this have been very low.
I haven't even placed a preorder yet.
I sincerely hope that bioware didn't drop the ball here.

Seems many feel that way, but I feel good about it. I think it will deliver.

I want to play this at release but I have shelled out $60 for too many games the last three months so I think I will wait for a price drop.

thankfully , my mw3 and battlefield3 obsession ever since October has kept me from buying a single game, aside from skyrim.
So... no problems with droppin sixty on this.
and i honestly dont really GAF about the story... i actually like mass effect for the action

I'm a pretty big ME fan and love the story, but it doesn't bother me about the ending. I think some hardcore fans are pissed that some must die and there is nothing they can do about it.

I don't know any details on who does or doesn't die. I'm just guessing bro.
You think everyone is going to survive?

No, I just don't want "confirmation" either way. Apparently a few posters here have read the leaked script. Supposedly they changed things but I'd like to remain ignorant either way.

Yeah ease up on anything more. I've read the ending script but everything else I want to experience for myself.
