Yea, I get what you are saying. The AI has been greatly improved in this game.
I have to say, I am loving the new characters in this game. The new EDI is awesome and I have a feeling some funny shite is going to go down between her and Joker.

How's everybody's military readiness so far? I find it kind of an interesting aspect to make you do the extra shite.

Readiness is always at 50% unless you do multiplayer.

The War Readiness at 50% means that you have half the resources avaliable to you. Playing multiplayer increases that percentage and you get more resources as a result. You can also import high level multiplayer characters that contribute directly to the resources meaning you will get a one-time +75.

I made it to the segment that was featured in the demo and beat it.
I think that's as good a stopping point as any.
I'm hoping my pirate Internet returns tomorrow. Got some preorder bonuses I haven't been able to redeem. Glad I got my from ashes code early, otherwise I wouldnt have my a-hole prothean teammate yet either.

I love that guy, he is awesome.
Something I've noticed is that this game is more narrative driven than the previous two. There are long periods of time in conversation where I don't have a choice in what to say, and to me this is quite the contrast from ME1 where you chose every other sentence. It's not necessarily a bad thing because it definitely moves the story along but it's just something I've found.

I don't know if I'll keep her or Liara around on either of my playthroughs. Yvonne Strahovski's Australian accent and of course that arse make me want to keep Miranda.

If you're a biotic, take less weapons. My wife is playing through as a seintenal taking the rifle shot gun, submachine, and a pistol was -60 to power recharge. I took it down to a pistol and rifle and it went to +11. Being able to scope every weapon is pretty awesome though. New heavy melee power is pretty awesome, runs through cereberus hitches like a hot knife through butter.

Really if you're going to be casting powers often carrying only the pistol or the SMG is the best bet. The classes I recommend only using this are the Adept and the Engineer. The Infiltrator with the sniper bonuses is deadly with just a Mantis or a Widow. Really the Sentinel just needs to carry a short burst AR and it's money. The Soldier needs a primary weapon plus a complementary weapon to supplement power. The Vanguard just needs to be able to learn how to use Biotic Charge plus Nova to be successful. Sorry for the novel this is just from my experience in the demo.

You have a built in class bonus. Tactical Cloak plus a Mantis or Widow even with a body shot usually results in death. I would recommend leveling TC up ASAP.
