They do seriously need to put in a storage chest and allow you to sort your gear. Like you, I really didn't have issues with weight once I got the big saddlebags, but it was still a PITA to scroll through all the crap.

Ought to be able to filter out any crafting for lower level items than already in use or at least filter by DPS and DEF.

Scrolling the crafting tab is always a pain.

Oh and have the potion tab first.

You use those way more often than the equipment tab.

And have the potions be a separate tab altogether from anything else. And the mutagens.

Don't get me started on mutagens and trying to find the greater mutagen mixed in 300 lesser mutagens.

Finally took the time to upgrade all of them to greater.

Went ahead a finished the skellige fight club quest thing.

Tip - Just keep your hands up and use 1 power attack after their power attack. Takes time but easy win with a little patience.

I used very few potions other than nest bombs during the game, but at the hard modes I can see where it's a must.

Once I kept getting killed with the first werewolf, I started using potions and never looked back.

So for me, I was always opening the potion tab. More than any other. I guess I clicked the first one a lot until I got the biggest saddlebags and I didn't need to hit the various stores all the time.

Yea, I always used some type of blade potion. That was really it though. Had one decoction that was always mapped to a button and water to the other, so wasn't a huge need to go to that tab.

I always used the werewolf decoction when I was in Novigrad.

I used cat's eye all the time in caves. I used whale whatever to explore underwater.

In big battles, I used whatever bonus potion needed.

Also used Swallow and Thunderbolt the most.

I really didn't pay much attention to the others. Troll Decoction would have been useful in a few situations had I known it existed.

Used the bonus critical potion sometimes.

The decoction that regenerates vitality when stamina is used is the tits. Low health? Whirl attack FTW!

I think there were other good potions. I just didn't quite understand what they do.

They really weren't jackasses with underwater stuff. In most spots, there is either plenty of time to do what you need to do or a pocket of air. Not sure you really needed whale but since I like making sure I don't miss some hidden chest, I did spend a lot of time in underwater caves so it was beneficial.

Never found anything worth the hassle though.

I've been hitting Skellige ?s today. Down to about 45.

Finally found something of interest. On an island, I found a lvl 49 Griffin. The treasure sucked but it was fun having a tough battle.

Killed me once because I wasn't ready, then I potioned up and killed it. Only had a drop of Vitality left because it nailed me with bleed.

Yeah, some of the harder bosses it's nice to have some of the potions when on death march mode. Imelrith effectively one shot me a couple times on death march with his teleport combos and the stagger effect they cause combined with him hitting like a truck. The reaction time potion plus the potions ability that gives extra reaction time to special attacks is kinda nice there.

Though even on death march he is really the only somewhat challenging boss for Geralt. The 3 crones are kinda a pain on death march too (more for the extended time and dashing in circles aspect), but you can't use potions there anyway.

I've avoided this thread, and I'm only level 19 right now, but it amazes me how often I don't know what the hell is going on. I played the first two games through, so this isn't my first introduction to the series. However, with every quest or conversation I keep finding myself asking, "Who is that, again?", "Wait, what happened?", "Did I really experience or encounter X, Y, or Z in the first or second game?" "What the frick is going on here?"

Well to be fair a lot of the people are only in the books, and didn't show up in Witcher 1 and 2 (or are only alluded to in those two games).

I was surprised Ilorveth (?) wasn't in this one considering the part he had to play in the second. As well as Saskia
