Yea, I pretty much meditate until it is day time and sunny now. The game is just so much better then.

I don't mind the rain. Certainly not as annoying as Morrowind.
It doesn't seem to last that long but I do tend to meditate from night to 6am.

I've also noticed that Geralt will randomly mutter "winds howling". Does this mean anything?

He just comments on the weather randomly when it's windy, raining, and clearing up. Just a small amount of immersion. You can occasionally catch an NPC mentioning the rain as well.

I hooked Geralt up with Kiera and sent her arse back to Kaer Morhen. Just finished pyres of novigrad quest so not a lot of interaction with Triss yet. Gonna try to bag that as well when the time comes.

Finally got the mastercrafted Ursine armor. It's a good thing I've bought virtually nothing all game. I think I spent 5K on components and crafting.

I just got to Skelli after doing most of the other zones, I neglected this island in my 1st play because I was caught up in the story and was ready to see it finished. I am lvl 20 and haven't crafted any armor or weapons yet because the money you spend and the fact that it doesn't scale has me holding on to my mats and money.

That is my favorite looking I think but I don't like the Stamina buff that comes with it. I've just finished rounding up all the enhanced feline gear.
