I don't think it's outside of reason to say that most people would see at least a slight improvement with getting set-up tips from streamers. I was hard set on the M4 until I watched enough big names using the Grau setup.

This was exactly my intention with telling everyone to pump the breaks. People were grinding the challenge as if it would be a game changer. They should get the gun. Just don't get your expectations too high.
Just don't expect to be getting a gun on the level of the pre-nerf Grau.

changing the subject...can we talk about the short-lived glitch this week where you could drop the pre-game lobby gun on the ground and then pick it back up in the actual game if you were to drop to that spot?

I agree with you 100%. The grau wasn't even that OP for damage. It was just easy to handle and shoot with good damage. LMGS always outdamaged it from distance. But when you can move quicker,ADS, and get the first shot off on somebody they typically flinch and get scared from distance.
To be fair, the M4 did receive a good amount of nerfs in the beginning. Nick and a bunch of streamers are never to be trusted to have the right attachments and weapons until another top name suggests something. He is even using a worse MP5 setup then he could be (mono suppressor no barrel vs mono integral).
Metas will be what streamers and content creators make out to be OP even if there is a gun that's better. This instance it's the bruen has been a better overkill long range weapon then even the grau but nobody played it because the streamers typically play in medium to short range in center map and the grau is a better weapon than the bruen at those fights.
I don't even think he would have tried it if Aydan didn't drop a 51 with the pkm. The pkm is a better long range gun but not versatile because of speed. The 60 rd makes the bruen as strong as it is otherwise the pkm wins out.
Bruen is not OP but it is a top tier weapon. Everything seems balanced right now except the heavy hitter ARs. Scar is trash. AK has too much recoil or too slow. Oden ain't bad but it's another slow gun. FAL is good up close but not good in higher KD long range fights. Galil has too little ammo.

To me the Grau was still better at the longer range engagements too. Just because the recoil was so tiny and vertical that it was still more consistent landing those shots even if they damaged less. The only time I ever found the Bruen better was at close range when already hard scoped.

I always found the M13 was under-appreciated at long range because of that. It just eats ammo.

Wait until the game starts. Then drop on that spot and pick up a decked out gun at the very beginning of the game.

ETA: But yea, its fricked now. I've been this biggest advocate for the Bruen since it came out. I'm going to go into depression when/if they nerf it

I don't believe his increase was 100% the bruen but it was a good contributor.
