I need some help. Stuck on the Forbidden Legend quest. I am in the Arch-Mage's quarters. The waypoint is stuck on the door. If I'm outside the room it tells me to go in, if I'm inside it tells me to go out. There is nothing in the room for me to do. Should I just restart my game?

I need to get a dagger that captures souls or at least learn how to enchant one. I haven't messed with enchanting at all really.

Same here.

Up to lvl. 20 now.

Don't think I'm built right at all. I'm Khajiit, built a lot like a tank (heavy armor, 2h weapons, etc.). Prolly should be more stealthy, right? I'm at 78 smithing, and been using that iron dagger trick, so thanks to whoever posted that. I just assumed it was difficulty based.

SPOILER-ish

When you guys found the Redguard Woman, and met up with Kematu what did you do? Kill Kematu or take him back to her?

I opted to kill him, after reading bringing him back only nets you 500g. I got some decent loot from offing him.

/end spoilers

"Don't be lead on by a pretty face."

Plus I'm trying to remain relatively good morally. So yeah, send that tramp back to jail. Treason yo.

Does anyone else have serious trouble against ice mages? I ran into a Forsworn camp and danced through everyone but an ice mage wrecked my shite more than once using ice spikes and a ice staff.

I can outhit most melee enemies but Mages still wreck my shite. They usually have either frost/lightning spells that do so much damage to me, I just pop adrenaline rush and heal myself quickly to beat them.

Once I get my enchanting high enough, I am definitely loading up on some protection from magi on my armor.

That's where I am right now! I must have tried to take her down 5 times before I'm just like frick it. I was starting to wonder whether enemies were starting to get more powerful and I wasn't leveling up quick enough. Good to see others had this problem too

It might take a bit, but the NPCs definitely run out of magicka and rush you, so wait for that opportunity.

Anyone do the Thieves Guild quest to find Arondil's journals? I got them all but when I bring them back to the guy who gave me the quest he doesn't pay me and the journals ( only worth 5 gold apiece) become weighted in my inventory and are no longer quest items.

Outdoors, not much you can do, but indoor you can usually run away and get the mage stuck in a spot casting away at you until they run out of majicka.

I have more issue with the fire ones than the ice ones.

Ice mages f my world up. I'm a sneak, light armor, and one hand. When they see me and freeze me, I'm effed.

Gonna try to take out knevel again tonight after class. Dude is tough.

ETA: I have a set of frost resist I use that isn't bad, but isn't strong enough, they still slow me down too much.

Yes it's very baffling. I was stomping all the other Forsworn with one shot, but I could hardly get close to her. Finally I just kept summoning a Flame Atronach to take care of it for me.

I don't have as big of a problem with fire/shock mages as they don't slow me down and once I get close it's over. Those ice ones just make you move so slow that once you're in it's hard to get out. Same thing with frost dragons.

I found a fix for my PS3 problem. I am at GameStop right now trading in. I cant believe I'm trading in specifically due to Skyrim being essentially broken on the PS3.

damnit i can't wait to get this game tomorrow.

I was wondering something (maybe SPOILERS, i don't know)

I know you can become a werewolf as I've seen a few videos of people becoming one (and it looks awesome/unstoppable) but can you beat the game as a werewolf the whole time or do you have to find a cure? I just want to be a werewolf the whole time ha

You can be a werewolf the entire game. But you cannot go through the game "as" a werewolf, you must be human for all non-combat parts.
