I actually couldn't bring myself to play 4. I own it, but it ran like absolute dogshit on my PC with an UW monitor. I made it out of the vault, but not past the initial "neighborhood". I'm hoping the "next gen" updates fix some of that.

I remember it being clunky on my machine at the time but eventually got fixed.

FO4 was pretty sweet. Loved building bases and using power armor

Base building was my favorite part of 4. I can’t wait to do the same in starfield

Same here. I've spent hours just building post-apocalyptic cities. I have a feeling that addition to the game and 76 was the prototype for Starfield.
I can't wait to see what modders do with the empty planets.

there was a surprising amount of depth to the building too, especially when electricity was involved.
in order to save on resources, i had all defenses tied to either one alarm or a series of alarms that were connected to switches. When super mutants or whatever else attacked, a guard would hit the alarm, which triggered the switch, which powered down all the water systems etc, and powered up every turret and other defense mechanisms.
i wish i got attacked more, to be honest. I had this type of setup all over. Was beautiful to watch in action. Getting notified an outpost was under attack turned into my favorite part of the game

Shut up and take my money.
(Although I might need a new computer.)

I'm hoping I won't. Have PS5 so I'll have to play on PC.

I dont disregard much of anything i said in here. Howard is scum lord and proven liar over again multiple times. That said, the stuff coming out about this game is giving me hope. If they can just nail the ship and base building with depth, polish, and genuine care and effort in then i have more hope this game will be a mega success. That said we shouldve learned from cyber about hype. But, if the news stays this positive ill likely preorder which i reserve only for the rarest of likely quality games.

you let this fester for 3 weeks?

It’s not “festering” it’s just a true fact?
I mean i bumped this to admit the current news had made me realize I might’ve been to quick to harsh judgement about this game and you insult me when I was admitting being wrong. While white knighting for a corporation front man liar who hasn’t done shite creatively speaking since Skyrim.

The above quoted poster has demonstrated an impressive lack of self awareness and delusion in this thread.

Correct on that quote I made a mistake. No one is anti bethasda and wants to see them fail. Theyve made some of the greatest games ever made. Many people outside fanatical bethesda fans (not a pejorative btw we can be like this we studios) actively hates Todd Howard.

So after it was revealed that Redfall is releasing with only a 30fps mode, what are the chances Starfield releases at 30fps?
Posted on 4/14/23 at 11:14 am to Sl0thstronautEsq
There's been a lot of chicken little reactions to this, assuming Starfield will follow suit. But I feel that Starfield is a way more important game than Redfall and in turn will have resources at it's disposal at launch.
To clarify, 30 FPS at launch is only for the Xbox, right?
