I might pick up this game after the holidays. I'm a big fan of bioware and Star Wars, so I think I'll enjoy the game. From the looks of it, the leveling is almost like a single player game (if you want it to be) and I really like Bioware's stories. So even if endgame is terrible, I could just level one of every class to get the unique stories then just cancel.

The ship missions are frikking awesome around lvl 17-18, 10k exp per mission, 5 missions, and repeatable daily.

I'd like to continue giving this game a shot but now it won't let me log in. Not because of account issues though. It keeps telling me the login service is down.

All MMOs struggle the first few weeks. I had problems earlier but it worked itself out. I had to put in a payment type for the next month for some reason.

SONOFABITCH! I ordered from Amazon and assumed it was digital download, but no they are actually shipping the game and it won't be here until tomorrow so I don't have my code yet!

I forgot one of my secret answers and it took me forever to remember it. Next time I give all the damn questions the same answer.
I'm not good at space combat yet. Working on it though. A friend told me the cash and xp are great in it so I'll have to get it down.

I assume consulars are the best healers; what is the most effective tanking class?

In this game, some classes can fulfill all three roles (depending on which specialization you choose), and some can fulfill two. It's not like if you choose trooper you have to be a tank, or if you choose consular you have to be a healer. A Shadow consular can actually tank. Republic side right now, the Jedi Guardian seems like the most resilient tank I've seen based on limited exposure. As far as Empire, Powertech Bounty Hunters are tough mother frickers.
ETA: To your healing comment, you'd be surprised. Sawbones smugglers and combat medic troopers make for pretty good healers. I like that the game doesn't lock you into a role depending on what class you choose.

I have a Sith Marauder. It's pretty fun playing a dark side character who jumps at every chance to kill something and can easily do it.
My main is a Jedi Sage but I've been putting some time into my Imperial Agent Sniper. The consular and agent have the best stories in the game, in my opinion.
