That was me.

This game is a lot like Tenchu to me. I definitely play for stealth most of the time.

And I remember Tenchu being brutal as frick, too, soooo...yeah.

Progress update:

Beat Owl (Father) in probably the cheapest way possible, but going toe to toe with him can eat a dick. I just baited out the moves that made him vulnerable and whittled him down. Motherfricker is super punishing.

Went to poke my head in at the Divine Dragon after that and one shot it. Seems like it was made to be easy, but I loved the nice, easy win after beating my head against Owl literally all fricking day.

its one of the most memorable bosses for me in the "series." it looks so badass, has cool moves, and the gimmick makes you feel like a god-slayer. just what the game needed at the right time.

as someone who looks to be forever stuck on Sword Saint and i dont think i can get the Owl Father fight, i think the only bosses that didnt drive me insane were corrupted and true monk. they just clicked with me, true monk was the only boss i first timed.

all others wrecked me, and i legit feared i would never get past the guardian ape and owl shinobi fights.

If you can't "git gud" to beat Owl Father, just keep him at a distance and you can bait out 3 attacks that can be dodged and then countered to whittle his HP down. It's still not easy, as he will punish you harshly, but it's the only way I could get it done.

Has anyone ever read the Tomoe Gozen novels? Old books but I’m wondering how much of this gets inspiration from them like souls does berserk and bloodborne does Lovecraft

From a cursory Google search it looks like she was a real woman. That's pretty badass.

Considering the woman who trained Genichiro to use lightning was Tomoe, I'm sure it's at least an inspiration.

Pretty cool.

I can’t even beat this butterfly boss. She’s kicking my arse on the second part.

She's where I learned to be aggressive and deflect. Get in close with her and don't let up. Deflect, deflect, deflect, and you'll build up her posture super fast. I got death blows at half HP both times.

Bloodborne

This game is seriously making me want to do a replay.

Though, I still haven't played DS 1-3, so might do that.

Eventually The Surge 2 is coming this year and I cant wait to start hacking some limbs off cyborg zombies again.

Rage quit her bitch arse and went to try my luck on this chained ogre in an open fricking area with no luck. I still have no idea what I’m doing in this game. I’m gonna go ride a horse or some shite.

It's the game that got me into this genre of games. I loved it.

Most frustrating boss in any of these games is Carbon Cat from the DLC. I've never felt so accomplished as I did beating his bitch-arse.

DOOO EEEET.

I just played through DS3 and currently on DS1 Remastered. I don't know why I never played these games before.

After Sekiro, they're refreshingly fun

Except for Blight Town. frick Blight Town right in the arse with a poisoned cactus.

Her second form became less hard if you can either:

A) use snap seeds to dispel her illusions, since that's what becomes the homing missiles coming at you

B) Hide behind a pillar when they come at you

C) slice through like 5-6 of them and then you only have to worry about a couple

The hardest thing about this fight and even OF-Hirata is that the pillars obstruct your view at times and that messes up the tracking system.
