SPOLIERS - RDR2 Map Leak
quote:
Dutch gaming website Inside Gamer played Red Dead Redemption 2 as part of a European preview event. In addition to answering fan questions, the editor told a ResetEra member that Rockstar Games confirmed that "the whole part of the old map is accessible during the game" and in addition, "there's a lot of new areas as well". That means players will be able to roam around Blackwater, Armadillo, and New Austin in Red Dead Redemption 2. Blackwater will also be significantly larger and more detailed in the prequel, Inside Gamer reports, with Rockstar Games choosing to expand it since they have more horsepower with the new consoles. Later, Inside Gamer retracted its original statement. This doesn't mean it was false though, it possibly indicates that Rockstar did not want information regarding Red Dead Redemption 2's map to be known prior to release.

Gameplay is leaking as of yesterday or this morning. The map will be soon to follow. Think parts of it have leaked in the last 24 hours.
No links but not hard to find for you internet savy baws if you want to see it.

Ok, I want to point out that a 60 hour campaign is absolutely insane.
Consider that the RDR campaign, start to finish, with cut scenes and side missions is roughly 20 hours, and that's if you already know what you're doing (ie replay) and are good at the game. A speed run takes about 9-12 hours.
This game is going to be around 3 times the size of RDR.

Just realized you posted the leaked map. I'm so pumped for this. Been so long since I played RDR but I'm excited to see those same locations again with better graphics.
Wonder if someone will find and point out the spot that will be John's ranch one day. Or the overlook where John meets the strange man who says this is a nice place, and that place ends up being where John gets buried.
I hope we see the strange man again in this one.

It is, though I wonder how much of that figure includes side missions. Not like the just random achievement side missions, but just side missions that would be required to complete in order to actually finish the game.
If it is truly 60 hours straight main story line and nothing else, that is completely bonkers.

Doesn't this make the mission by definition not a side mission?

I'm so tempted to click on it, but 3 days away I'm not watching gameplay footage, I've gotten this far I want to experience it all in real time

I hear ya and commend your self control. I wasted no time clicking and it didn't really spoil anything. He Pat's his horse, a guy walks up and says some bullshite, then Arthur drops him with dual wielding pistols. 23 seconds start to finish.

If billboards/advertisements are any indication then bank on RD2 and the TV show The Rookie to be huge. Every corner in Manhattan had a RD2 or Rookie advertisement.
LOL!
They put those up for schlock too. I remember seeing the adverts for the new Ben-Hur film in Midtown Manhattan. Still flopped and sucked.

Basically it’s RDR map minus Mexico plus that huge arse area on the other side of Blackwater. McFarlane Ranch, Armadillo, and a non ghost town Tumbleweed etc etc
