I actually just started downloading it to replay it before I saw it on the flash deals.

i bought civ5 GOTY, but when it installs it only shows as civ5 without the addons included in the GOTY. is this a glitch in the matrix or are they already included in the game and dont show up on the list. does the same thing for batman franchise i bought, the addons included in the dont show up 
what gives?
also i had been installing all these new steam games i get on this laptop, but i can foresee an issue with space on this HD. read in another forum where setting up a separate HD for mainly steam games may be the way to go. thinking about doing this. is a separate HD what most here do for there steam games? or how do you handle it

They're there, I think you right click on the game in the library and theres an option for dlc, should already be installed

I actually opened a Steam ticket on this before I realized that DLC doesn't show up on the main screen. You have it just install the game.
