Same here. I'm on a 2.0 ghz core 2 duo; ddr2. I just bought a radeon 7750 to see how it handles some of this stuff. The next step is mobo upgrade, but I'm hoping to hold that off for at least a year.

I added an edit, if I'm offered a job soonish, I'll be probably stealing a MB from sicboy (or his roomate) and buying an i7.

Had to put my old one back in and returning the refurb. Darv is having to replace his mobo, processor, AND video card. Bad week for technology.

I'm going to look into my overclocking options and possibly look to see if I can find a steal on a 3.3 ghz core 2 duo. It's retailing, if you can find it, for like $90 right now, and thats too expensive for a chip that is 3 generations back or so.
The only thing that worries me about OCing my rig is that I just cleaned out my case, and the amount of dust inside was kind of scary. My cpu heatsink had a lot of dust caked between itself and the fan. I guess the worst that happens is I fry the cpu and/or mobo and have to upgrade anyway.

I have Duo Core too w/ 4gb Ram(max on this system) and I recently upgrade my PSU(650) and GPU(GTX560) so it still has a few years left in it.

I got 4 gb mem coming too. That will put me at 6gb if both sets of the dual channel play nice together. If not, I'll just run with the 4 gb.

Naw just the regular gtx560 :), upgraded from a geforce 8600 which only had 256mb.

8xxx series is still my favorite nVidia cards. Only series I never had a problem with.
ETA: Just random thought, I sent back my 670 FTW 2GB for a 670 SC 4GB. The 670 4GB has given me nothing but hell. Random blue screens in the middle of matches are killing me.

That happens to the indi bundles for a while then it will show up.
I have stalker and have played it a little bit, it's open world go where you want do what you want, i would say at that price it's a good pick up, but let someone with more game time give you a better answer.
