The war memorial on the back road is a gym. Sacred Heart church on LA 1 is a gym. The water tower on the back road is a pokestop. There are a few more, but it's noting compared to BAton Rouge

Got an electabuzz today. 319 ghastly, 420 geodude, 600 growlithe, I'm also close to evolving pikachu, bulbasaur, squirtle, oddish, ponyta, cubone and slowpoke.
Finally saw clefary but he ran on me.

Just took a nice long walk through the neighborhood with the fam. Didn't capture anything out of the ordinary though. We did hatch a 5k egg just before leaving and it was a cp527 Grimer....my first of that species. When I was out grabbing dinner, I saw a Snorlax pop up on my list on two separate occasions but never could find either. 
Just looked and I have less than 0.2km to hatch another egg.....looks like it's time to take the dog for a walk

Definitely just bought a lucky egg and leveled up 14 Pokemon......but forgot to activate the lucky egg. I'm pissed hahaha.

Noticed a 794 Snorlax while driving out for dinner. Pulled over and caught that bastard. Have enough for some more evolutions but will likely have to wait until I get back to work Monday with lucky egg and pokestop lures. I need others to share in my excitement about this game - glad there's this thread.

Has anyone else had the issue of the nearby pokemon never showing less than three foot prints?
If so, how did you get it fixed? I've tried restarting and force stopping the app but neither worked.

Went on a little trip after work and got 5 Pokemon in gyms. It gets difficult to take gyms after your best Pokemon are holdin it down. Then the last one I took I feel dumb leaving behind a 480 hitmonchan as the boss but it is what it is. Hopefully some blue goons go back me up and put some heavy hitters there.
