Grab my phone and open the game, see a Pickachu outline so I decide I'm going to hunt it down. It was 3 paw prints away, it started to go away when I walked down my street. I would have to walk across the Hwy for this damn pokemon

I think in the beginning the main thing is leveling up, not evolving your stuff because when you level, the better CP stuff will show up.

Right now I'm concentrating on leveling up and visiting poke stops. I catch Pokemon whenever I can but I'll have to wait until a day off to go downtown and try for some higher Level ones.

Lucky I was taking back roads around where I live, so I was the only one on them. Found a couple more pokestops and a gym that only had 1 person using it. So I put a pokemon there, do I have to go and check on it daily to collect?

Nighttime tracking, walking, hatching, and finding a big dog is the best part of the game.
Seeing a big shadow pop up and tracking it is addicting as hell and awesome.
It takes me 45 minutes to "take out the trash" at night

Only things I'm evolving right now are the pidgey's, caterpie's, and weedle's to gain xp. I'll evolve a random Evee if it is a high 400 or so to get it to 1000 since they are basically everywhere.

Nope, it will show up in your store if you're pokemon is still there after 21 hours i believe.

saw the friendly gym near me was close to prestiging, so I went and trained and lvled it up, then put my Venomoth there.
hopefully he can stick around a while. lvl 6 gym.
I was getting 550 prestige for winning 1 battle at the lvl 5 gym fwiw.
this gym is anchored by a 1624 vaporeon and even has a Vileplume

Just tried this Gym/training plus xp farm. Not worth it IMO.
Then tried the let someone take it over from a different fraction, not worth it if everyone around you is another fraction. Lol

the lagg when fighting sucks.
some pokemon attack quicker than others, you can spam a bug quick attack a lot quicker than snorlaxs attack I determined
but I have trouble dodging specials
Flareons Flamethrower hit me for a legit 50%
