Nothing to crazy coming around downtown NOLA today, but since I've gone over lvl 20, I'm seeing a definite change in the cp and variety of specimens around me. I've had several Squirtles spawn here as I'm sitting at my desk, a few Staryus, a cp818 Tangela and a cp619 Exeggcute. Not too bad of a day for me.

Thanks. I should be able to get another one in a week or so, so maybe I won't make the same mistake

At this point IV doesn't have much if any actual impact on gameplay. A 90% Venusaur isn't going to allow you to do anything a 25% Venusaur can't (i.e. take over gyms). The IV stuff is really for your own personal challenge of trying to find the "best" and potentially will come into play down the road if the battling gets refined or much tougher due to strengths of opponents. That's just how I see it at least.

Every time I put my Pokemon stats into the IV thing I get

0 possible IV combinations found.

While this is true..he asked so I felt he deserved an honest answer.

If he evolved his 412... then he got the absolute low end of the range I gave him . Which I why I told him to keep his candy. A lesson for everyone

You have to select the pokemons name from the drop down list

where can I learn about the whole "evolve" and level up system? cause this sounds extremely complex, and I love this kinda stuff

Idk then it's as simple as can be.

Reading the data output is what's tough.

Andvari, we're discussing IVs. Hidden values from 0-15 for three stats that every pokemon has.

IVs persist thru evo so it's best to evo a pokemon with high IVs and high CP.

There is a calculator at pokeassistant.com to output IV ranges.

How can you check Attack, Defense, and Stamina? That website confused me

All pokemon of the same species have the same base stats.

So by entering pokemon name, cp, hp, and dust cost.. that site can figure out how much extra in stats you have over base

The ranges come from the range in a pokemons possible level. It may be a lvl 10 with high IVs,a lvl 10.5 with moderate IVs, or a lvl 11 with bad IVs, for any given cp/hp/dust cost combo

Cool, so far my Vaporeon "could" have the best: Attack, Stamina, and HP

My Flareon can have very very close to the top Attack, Defense, and the top Stamina and HP

and my Jolteon is crap

Went to the Audubon Zoo on Saturday and that place is crazy. Pokestops everywhere and caught a ton of stuff. Had a blast walking around with the kids. I think my kids were more worried about the imaginary creatures than the actual ones....

Nintendo isn't making the bank we thought they were.

quote:

On top of that, Apple and Google take 30 percent of all ioS and Android apps, and Pokemon Go developer/publisher Niantic also gets 30 percent. So, in the end, Nintendo only nets about 10 percent of Pokemon Go‘s profits. Considering some predict that app could make up to a billion dollars a year, that’s still a lot of money, but not as much as many investors were expecting.

Caught a dratini near the end of the boardwalk through the south american stuff. If you play the game it is worth going for sure.
