TL beats Gen G and is guaranteed to play at least one tie breaker for the chance to advance to knock outs. If LNG beats MAD then they get first and TL plays against Gen G for 2nd. If MAD wins we have a 4 way tie breaker situation.

TL knocked out after losing tie breaker to Gen G

NA did better than expected IMO. But still disappointing. They never seem to have a good read on the meta.
And pls why stop picking Jayce ffs

Proud of the region as a whole, better than EU this year and not too far from the rest. Everyone competed really well. Looking forward to a new format next year.
Also tactical can be let go and let Core choose his import adc. Keep the rest of the team the same unless Santorin's health is long term issue.

C9 got probably the best draw for the knock out rounds as they could have possibly gotten. They dodge T1 and DK and get Gen G in the first round who I think are very beatable. Then they just need a miracle run against RNG or EDG and boom, finals baby

It’s not likely but getting to the semis would be amazing.
At what point is C9 forced to keep their roster based on their success this season?

C9 will swap their bot line out. Zven for sure but likely also Vulcan. That's the word at least.
Posted on 10/21/21 at 11:25 pm to UltimateHog
Who do your replace Vulcan with? I don't think he's been great at worlds but he's still probably the best domestic option they have for support unless they decide to go with an NA adc and import support.

I'm not sure, trend has been high end import support so I'd guess that and an NA adc like tactical or FBI or whoever else may be available.
We may have import rule changes too. Luckily as soon as worlds ends rumors start flying.

Gen G stomp C9 in game 2 yikes
What a throw by C9... Gen G 3-0 ...

Lol C9 finished top 8 in the world. People are really stupid with the constant clapping on NA.
Many thought they wouldn’t make it out of playing-ins but there was still significant doubt. NO ONE had them getting out of groups. Good showing for C9 considering they came in as the NA 3rd seed and the overall region limitations.

Not trying to be negative but they got 3-0 stomped by the weakest Korean team.
They got a lot of help with FPX falling apart in groups too.
Its nice they made it to quarters, but until NA get to semis and beyond, they will always be seen as a lower tier region

Rumor mill Alphari/Perkz/Inspired on Vitality forming "super team".
quote:
Sources: Perkz and Alphari would be considering options to play together in 2022. There are several interested teams, including Vitality Both players would be exploring options in different teams in Europe and Na, everything is yet to be decide

Solo laners still have too much of an impact on the game. Riot is gonna have to fix bot lane.

First big bombshell drops. Bjerg out at TSM
Posted on 10/28/21 at 4:53 pm to Greace
C9 is also making Perkz available to buyout. C9 Bjerg? Also rumors of him going to TL and Jensen moving to adc. Gonna be a wild off season.
Posted on 10/28/21 at 4:58 pm to Greace
Yeah the rumor yesterday was Bjerg to TL along with Spica, and Jensen role swapping to adc.

Not really sure how TL could afford that roster. Would make LCS a one team race and I would probably struggle to tune in.
Posted on 10/28/21 at 5:11 pm to Greace
Idk about that, Jensen at adc would be a big gamble. Bjerg could be washed a year
out of the game and wasn't elite mid anymore IMO.
Really sounds like Alphari and Perkz will be back in EU. I assume TL and C9 will make real good money on those guys' buyouts.

Bjerg was still the top tier mid laner when he retired and he spent a ton of time while coaching playing solo queue. To say he wasnt an elite mid when he retired is just being stupid. Theres no way you can honestly believe that. Im thinking Alphari Perkz and Bjerg all end up in EU next year. All the pros know that the environment in NA will never lead to any of them having an actual chance to win Worlds
