I would have given Solo a look over Huni tbh.

Huni has shown he has something to offer in regards to the world stage. We just saw Solo on a international level and it wasnt close

At least we get yet another fanbase spewing "If" a thousand different times for Huni. Hasn't worked out for about 4 years now but hey, this one, this is the one.

Most of the fanbase is really against this signing. I think we dont actually have the whole story. Likely we might not ever

Yeah, any fanbase that has signed him last couple years has hated it and for good reason.
It really makes no sense at all. Even if Impact didn't want to play with DL, or Jack playing hardball over Licorice like Carlos from G2 did with Perkz, idk how you end up at Huni even still.

Who do you go other than Huni? Possibly Hauntzer is really the only option and Bjerg and DL both played with him and I guess didnt want him back

Pretty simple, import top or import support.
DL is bad enough as is, and NA is getting stacked as frick bot, you pretty much had to get him an import.
So once the other import slot had to now be used mid, you're fricked.
Personally, import top makes more sense to me. Your support is limited to his adc regardless, and DL isn't top 3-4 and NA is strong there. Not so sure Lost + an NA support wouldn't have been better, Lost is really good and watch TSM lose back to back rookie of the years at the adc spot for a washed up Doublelift. And he lost his import status. I don't get that either.
EG pairing Ignar with Lost is similar to the TL strat with Tactical. Smart.

You legit just dodged around the question. You just said anybody would be better than Huni and then you proceed to talk about DL for half the post. You basically go out of the way to shite talk DL in a post about replacing Huni

That was the 2 options.
Chose to give DL more help, maybe the right call. Lost > DL to me and I would have imported top.
Lost has a ton of hype in the community, even more than Tactical had.
Probably my two favorites to watch outside of TL this year, Lost/Ignar and FBI/Huhi again.

Impossible to answer, we have no way of knowing what the market was. TSM would attract a solid top laner, BB left on a high note and got a good gig.

If your two options is import top or import support, and BB is the best import you could get (by keeping him) from the interest you got after contacting players, support may have been their best option when they got a bite from Swordart.
I'm not going to try to defend the Huni signing because I was right there with everyone with a big WTF on my face when it was announced. (Even Travis broke it before the show and I didn't believe it) But he's a historically good player that may have a new attitude and can possibly be unlocked again by being on a solid roster.
They are going to get memed until it either works or will get memed worse if it doesn't.

Biggest acquisition in NA history.
TL, C9, EG and 100T all seem really tough. 100T the least because of Damone mid but rest of that roster is nasty.
