Bjergsen was Ninja In Pyjamas' mid laner last year. He's a badass Zed, Ahri, Syndra, and Fizz.
TSM also added Altec and Ninjaken as subs.
He subbed for TSM when Regi had surgery, so he already had ties to TSM beforehand. Before he was on NiP last split, he was on the Copenhagen Wolves the split before. I know EU is known for good mid laners, but I think they could have gotten someone better. Oh well. A mid-tier EU mid laner is probably still going to dominate NA mid laners.
His win rates on champs last split were as follows:
Orianna: Picked 6, winrate 33%
Zed: Picked 4, winrate 50%
Fizz: Picked 3, winrate 100%
Ahri: Picked 3, winrate 66%
Kassadin: Picked 3, winrate 33%
Elise: Picked 2, winrate 100%
Ryze: Picked 2, winrate 50%
Kennen: Picked 2, winrate 100%
Karthus: Picked 1, winrate 0%
Diana: Picked 1, winrate 100%
Gragas, Annie, Malphite, Kha'Zix: Picked 1, winrate 0%
Twisted Fate: Picked 1, winrate 100%
This dude's pool is massive.
ETA: Also a quick note, in the spring split he got a penta with Syndra.

I'm gonna have to learn how to ADC now. I dominate lane and fights with Ahri easily, but she just can't win games by herself like Zed could. She can't split push and takes forever to take down a tower. Was 13/2/4 at one point last game on her and we still lost because of our lack of teamwork. You aren't going to get great teamwork at my elo so I was having to win games single handedly, and was doing so regularly with pre-nerf Zed. Ahri just doesn't have that kind of kit. I'm gonna have to spam Vayne and Twitch in normals until I get good enough at adc to start carrying. Or at least find another suitable hard carry split pusher. Possibly Trynd or Yi.

Yeah, I'm planning on learning hardcore carry type tops if this support carry s4 stuff doesn't work too well.

Bjergsen is such a huge step up for TSM. Last split Regi's KDA was 2.4. Bjergsen's was 3.4. A whole point higher in KDA on top of having more gold per minute, while facing better mid laners than NA every week. I'm pretty stoked for S4 now. If they can gel quickly, I assume Xpecial will be the one making the calls now. This could work out pretty well.

I would've liked to seen Froggen go to TSM but like you said, a mid tier EU is better than what they had.
He played against Froggen, Xpeke, Ocelote, and Alex Ich week in and week out.
Honestly the only mid match up to be worried about is Mancloud and Hai. Voyboy could be a problem, but not sure how his rotation to mid well affect his game.

Just lost a 4v5 because our mid laner went 4/16 and our adc got outfarmed by Ashe by 178 on top of feeding her.... I really can't stand this game sometimes. I was 7/2 on Elise and it didn't mean a damn thing. I completely shut down Kassadin early and our Cass still managed to get completely shite on even when the other teams jungle left. Unreal.

Honestly, there are worse picks. She can zone out portions of the lane with her traps, she has a heal, and a nasty poke that keeps the enemy bot laners at a distance (not to mention does nasty damage) making the adc play conservatively.
I like the ashe support role. Great consistent slow, and CC slow with decent damage (volley), a free "quick ward" with hawk shot, and the best initiating move in the game with her ultimate.
