What is tough are runners + clickers. Runners patrol around and see you, thus alerting the clickers.

naa, throw bottle (all infected flock into single area)
throw moltov (all dead are deader)

I'll sometimes get blinders on and not notice the runners when I'm trying to sneak past a clicker. Getting better at checking the area first.

Yeah. Forgot I had an endless supply of those.

Exactly, I was always running short on those.

I do need to use the "bottle distraction" method a little more, though. Would probably help.

Distraction tactics are great vs infected. Vs humans not so much. I've noticed many times they trace back the trajectory to my pos and I have to choke a fool.
The bottle to Molotov technique works great. I play on normal and usually have 2-3 for most confrontations.

The only enemy that can see your flashlight are humans.

Dev and I were talking about how hard it is to fight off the instinct of wanting to confront everyone you see. But I also love that you legitimately have that option.

I could have sworn a hunter spotted mine the first night I played it. Guess it was something else that alerted it.

They can see you if your close enough. They can't see your light though. I think the devs said it has something to do with the virus effecting light receptors in the eyes.
I get into way to many confrontations with infected. I have very little patience to find alternative routes. I usually stealth kill as many as I can and steamroll the rest. The melee combat could be better. I'd like the ability to throw more combos, dodge, throw haymakers, maybe some kicks. Joel is a poor mans chuck Norris. Let him loose those fists!
My favorite thing so far is the upgraded melee weapon that is a one hit kill. It's sickly awesome!!

Beastmode in multiplayer. People manage to get the drop on me with a shotgun, so I swing that bad boy and get an instant down and kill - they mad

I just assumed the only way the clickers couldn't see you was because they have no friggin head
I like the melee combat alright, but not when dealing with a mob. I have learned lately, though, that running away a bit and then re-engaging is a legit tactic.

In a crunch I always regroup. Smoke bombs which you'll unlock shortly are nice distractions and allow you to dispose of them while they are coughing.
I'm glad that the humans are as bad a shot as I am.

I can't wait to be able to unlock that feature where you can shiv a clicker if it gets a hold of you. That would be handy.
