I played through insane.
I recommend you do it on arcade mode. Much easier. Instead of reloading on one death, the whole team has to croak in order to stop the game. 30 second respawn timer if I recall correctly.
Didn't take me long to get through it that way. Not to say that there aren't difficult parts.
