I usually play 2 games at a time. If I have 2-3 hours I will play Witcher. If I only have 30 minutes to an hour I can play fallout. It's a game I have beaten so I don't mind popping in and out.

There is no right and wrong, do the quests or don't do the quests, you could put a ton of hours in it and never touch the main quest.

Doesn't help that the expansion with another 30 hours releases in a few hours.

I first focus on luck for idiot savant and intelligence, my thought is more exp means more levels. I then go for gun nut for the non auto pistols, automatic weapons eat too much ammo, I also get the same perk under the strength tree for non auto rifles, then the gun and armor mods. After that I usually go for the hacking and lock picking.

You could try a melee build, those that have done it says it works well.

I started my guy out balanced because I'm not familiar with how the game goes. Are the explosives any good? I love explosives in video games. It was the first thing I maxed out in the last fallout

I never relied on them too much, but in this game I think most things are viable, the key is to play what you like and have fun, this game is more about the journey.

15 minutes for 4.89 gigs this morning

i did it at like 5 am this morning so i assume most others had downloaded it already

They try to mess with your head in this one.
