For those using mods, did the DLC fckk anything up?

The mission is pretty short, but the end is super intense.
The robots are cool, looking forward to building an army

frick! I'm stuck in a room after I beat a huge robot and have NO CLUE how to get out. The door locked behind me when I did something and the terminal is on the opposite side. ETA: I'm an iDiot. Walked past an open door about 10 times

I did the same thing as well.

Have they set release dates for all the DLCs? I go back to work at the beginning of May and I literally won't have time to play until late November, so I want to beat these mofos while I still have free time.

Hell frick yes. Looks like that level 4 trader bug has been fixed!

Picked it back up after months of collecting dust. I like the game, but I can't even talk to an npc in a quest without getting grenades thrown at me. They went overboard with the molotov/grenade spamming.

The next expansion for Fallout 4, "Wasteland Workshop," launches on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One April 12. Bethesda Game Studios debuted the add-on's first trailer, viewable above, alongside the release date announcement.
As previously detailed, "Wasteland Workshop" will cost $4.99; it's also part of the larger Season Pass, which is now available for $49.99. The second of three planned content additions to Fallout 4, the pack will allow players to design and craft new items for settlements. These include cages to catch creatures like Deathclaws, which can then be tamed for use in battle, according to a post on Bethesda's website.

I can't find Smiling Larry or the Scribe at ANY of the random encounter spots (and I've tried for days plus all of the requirements are met). I know Scribe isn't an essential and is mortal, but... shite balls. I've never even seen him. I go back to work on May 2nd and I literally won't have time to play this game until late November. The panic is kicking in. I gotta have the full experience while the opportunity is present.

Found him, and many other random encounters in front of Med-Tek Research. Time of day doesnt matter. I just fast traveled from sanctuary to Med-Tek. Standing in the street looking at the front of med-tek, random encounter will spawn to your left down the road and walk past Med-Tek. If it is not Smiling Larry, Fast travel to sanctuary and back again. Each time will be a different random encounter Got some cool items off of legendary enemies this way, including chameleon armor :D Unfortunately, Larry has still not arrived at my settlement, even though I met all the requirements to hire him, and got his dialogue for it. My settlement Person count went up as if he was there, but he is nowhere to be seen. I think it's working, but there's definitely a time restriction. Fast traveling to sanctuary and back four times got me two random encounters: The first and the last. I don't even know if they're random encounters though, since the first was some super mutants and the second was a radscorpion.
Don't think I ever saw them and I played a million hours but I found that info from google.

One reason I want to play this again is because there is so much you can miss

Thanks, man...
I did figure out the problem as I went back on a previous save (prior to completing the Mechanist quest). Basically the Automatron expansion totally F's up all of the "random encounter" locations as nine times out of ten that stupid new Rust Devil gang spawns in almost every location once you've started the quest. So FYI to anyone looking to experience all of the random encounters, wait before starting the Mechanist quest until you absolutely have to.
There are so many awesome random encounters that even after putting a zillion hours on the game, I still never experienced. Plus they fixed the level 4 trader merchant bug, so you can recruit Smiling Larry, the Scribe, Trader Rylee and Doc Anderson problem free now.
If anyone's interested, I'll list all of the hotspots in case anyone would like to jump on it.

I would definitely be interested in that list.

I'm playing on the Xbox one, but I don't believe it truly makes a difference
Here are all the random encounter hotspots I bounce around to.
-South of the Drumlin Diner, there's a house with a yellow car out front (follow the "South marker" on your compass). Often times, you get raiders and Super Mutants but occasionally you do get one of the more unique encounters.
-West of the Relay Tower 1DL-109. There's a bridge with a cooking station, bed, etc. You can see it looking west from the tower.
-Arc Jet Systems... as soon as you fast travel in, turn around and you'll see an airplane statue. Around the statue is where the random encounters usually spawn.
-Mass Pike Interchange... as soon as you fast travel in, look to the road directly in front of you.
-After fast traveling to Starlight Drive in, turn around and move past the bus. You'll see a railroad bridge and underneath the railroad bridge is where a lot of random encounters take place.
-When fast traveling to Lake Quannapowit (sp?), turn around and you'll see two beat up cars and a dead scavenger. Inbetween those cars, follow that little path up the hill and usually someone will meet you around the boulders.
-At the Radio Tower 3SM-U81, travel directly east to the hidden bunker in the bushes just past the two picnic tables beside the river (if you've done the unmarked Greenbriar Radio Signal quest, you'll know where this bunker is). What I usually do is run to the bunker door, turn around and run back to the road and someone meets me there (but only on occasion here).
-The block between Greentech Genetics and Cambridge Crater you can run into someone. Usually I find them around the crater, but stay around both locations and don't venture off. BTW, Cambridge Crater has an awesome but F'd up backstory to it and it's linked to Arlen Glass at The Slog.
-As pointed out, fast travel to Med-Tek research and turn left traveling toward Slocum's Joe and someone/something usually meets you around the right corner.
-Fast travel to Cambridge Police Station, turn left and travel down the road. You'll reach an old van. Turn left and up the steps where the Nuka Cola machine is. I want to note I've always encountered raiders, dead raiders and dead postman with letters here (but it could be different for you).
-In front of the Dartmouth Professional Building.
-Fast traveling to Fallon's Department Store, turn left (looking SW on your map) and something always spawns inside of that building.
*Facing that very building, turn left and travel SE through the thicket of trees and you'll see a little shack suddenly explode. Inside, is where you'll find the "Moonshiner (this is also technically a "random encounter"*
-Facing the Museum of Freedom, go to the space on the left side of the building then go Eastward. You'll see a cooking station beside a few cars.
-Fast travel to the Mass Fusion Containment Shed, follow the outside of the gate to your right all the way behind the building and you'll see an old truck, fire barrel and two beds.
That's all of the locations I have luck at. I normally bounce around and try to wait at least 24 in game hours before revisiting a location. But by the time you you've traveled to each one, you can start over in the same pattern.
Here are other locations other peeps have luck at (but not me unfortunately).
-The road along the river beside Cambridge Polymer Labs and the fallen Red Rocket billboard. I've never had any luck here, but several others have. It could be a bug for me
-The train bridge beside the Boston Police Rationing Site. I've only had two encounters here.
-The front of Hester's Consumer Robotics. Never had any luck here.
Be sure to search the surrounding areas if you don't see anything. I believe both the Scribe and Smiling Larry are not essential and can die without you knowing.

If you've already started the Mechanist quest, you may want to go back back on a previous save prior to starting the quest because the DLC ruined all of the random encounter spots. All that usually spawned for me were the rust devils, unfortunately.

Only ones I noticed happening. Near the BADTFL office. Lots of times I saw a Deathclaw attacking some bad guys.
Also noticed a recurring Super Mutant Attack with 3 chain guns rolling. That was near a Red Rocket.
Other than that, I didn't really pay enough attention to realize I was tripping a random encounter.

I am sad that the DLC hasn't added much in the way of missions or new areas it's been fluff.

I was so burned out after 2 high level toons.
Didn't care about DLC.
Same thing I did with Inquisition and Witcher 3.

I did the Inquisition DLC after it was all out and enjoyed it. I lost my completionist play in W3 and had to start over, still haven't gotten to the DLC yet, but the next one hits in June.

It should be worth jumping in when the next one hits.
