I just have legendary weapons and perks designed to make my rifles do stupid amounts of damage.

So I got the armor mod, darker nights and better weather. Did not get to play long enough last night to experience any weather, but the darker nights and armor mods are great. Having to travel at night with the pip boy light on is awesome. When something comes running out of the darkness and into the dull green light it kinda scares me a little.

Spectacle Island.
Wow!
The giant Island off the eastern coast.
Once you have the settlement, the whole island is open for building. Very large limit.
Pretty tough fight to get it, so be aware.
When you get the island it is as 50% limit. You need to scrap everything. That includes all the crap in the shipping containers and lots of underwater stuff.
Downside it that I have used up all of my circuitry and aluminum.
Going to have to get back to radiant quests to get supplies.
Oh, it took almost the whole game but I finally got a better weapon than my freezing laser pistol.
Actually 2. I got got a double shot plasma gun that does 168 of one type of damage and 168 of another type of damage.
I've been carrying around a gamma gun that does 340 + 80. Finally tried it out and it wrecks most things.
Gave a settler my laser pistol that I have probably used about 75% from the start.

By the way, my Spectacle Island settlement is so big I went from level 80 to 83 just building. Then I got a couple levels cooking and cheming.
7 stories high, although I haven't built out more than the lower level and the bunk room.
Surrounded my crops with the concrete foundation then 2 more levels.

Only have about 11 folks in there at the moment.
Only attacks so far have been sea creatures.
Still have a ton of electrical work to do.
Solved the circuit problem with Trashcan Carla and Daisy. Aluminum from Arturo in Diamond.
Build limit is at about 75% but there is still tons of stuff over by the sunken containers that I can scrap.
All sides aren't level. If I started over, I would build a concrete base all across, then scrap the stuff in the middle. Then all sides would have connected nicely.

See? this is why this game is so good. I haven't built one settlement. I just like running quests, exploring and leveling up. I am lvl 43. Haven't built the first settlement. And here you are probably spending the same amount of time building settlements and having a blast.

When I walk up on someone, I have to go into VATS. If they have a name, I don't kill them. If it's generic, they're dead.
