Official EA Sports College Football 25 Discussion Thread

I already came from the mud as a 6-0 190 WR rated 61 to an 80. Don’t talk to me about hard

In year 2 with WVU my head coach is almost a maxed out tier 1 recruiter, OC is a motivator and DC is a scheme guy.

I’ve put up 91 on the kiges and 73 on va tech. I’m expecting by mid late year for my offense to mainly score in the 42-49 range and the D to go from allowing like 17-24 points up to 28-42 range as this happened last season.

The computer ai keeps playing zone on me and has taken my quick outs away. I’m slowly starting to work in slants.

Has anyone blocked a punt yet? In year 2 of usce I had a chance with transfer Caleb downs and missed. In back to back games I’ve had the square icon pop up but my guy hasn’t been able to block it.

I’ve blocked a handful. Blocked a few field goals too. Almost had a shut out in a game but my damn defender ran just to the right of the path of the ball and missed it. I was so pissed

Well those scores aren't very realistic.

Also what did you put your coach progression on? I'm using slowest so it's not so easy to max out.

All American 6 minute quarters and I just left it on normal.

Mainly happened because my d scored multiple times while forcing 5 turnovers.

Very next week I beat Pitt on the road 44-38 while turning it over 5 times with 3 fumbles in the rain including a short punt that hit my guys.

I did return a kick for a TD though

I’ve blocked multiple field goals, just haven’t got a punt yet.

I lost a shut out vs Tenn on the last play of the game. Since then I have at least one blown coverage a game and I’m fine with that

All I know is I’m fricking arse on defense. I can’t make a field goal out past 30 yards. wtf are all of these new controls?

Why can’t we go back to NFL blitz style controls and nonstop Hail Marys and full on blitz ?

Question: I still don't really understand how the other depth chart positions work on this game.

I have my LE and RE, and that's who i assume would start at these positions. But i also have a RLE and an RRE (or something like that) that seems to take precedence over my LE and RE depth chart. Similar with my HB. I have a HB, then in the other category, i have 3DRB (3rd down) and short yardage RB. And the short yardage RB can not be the same RB as the 3DRB.
This goes on for nearly every position. I have my core, regular positions, then i have the other positions that seem to override the core positions. Anyone figure out how this works?
