Took a shot at him this morning while getting a quarry to finish upgrading Skyhold. Took a shot and I last a long time just didn't really put a dent in his health before I just ran off.

So someone tell me about this game. I just got a refund for Halo: MCC because it was a huge pile of donkey shite. I now have $60 laying around just begging to be spent on something enjoyable.
How is it?

If you played Origins or Skyrim and like the games you will like this. This is a game that will take at least 100 hours if not more to complete if you are a completionist. I am 30 hours in would guess I am only about 20% done. I am sure to some extent you can "rush" through the story but even that will take a while since you have to earn power points to unlock certain areas.

This. I've been doing side quests like crazy. I was level 8 and the next main story mission recommended being level 12-15 before starting it. I'm level 11 right now and slowly grinding towards 12.

I can't wait to see what kind of dlc they have in store for this game. The way it is set up, they can add entire areas via the war table.

yeah the DLC should be interesting.

So are most of you playing on CPU with a controller?
Just curious as I bought the game and tried to do the keyboard and mouse thing for thirty minutes or so and got annoyed, then the game wouldn't read my keys on the logitech controller I had properly so I just got the origin refund and figured I'd try later on after some patches.
Just curious if using the controller smooths out most of the interface issues and makes the annoying walk to loot issues less annoying as well.

I only play with KB/Mouse and have no issues. You just returned GOTY.

I have to say, as nice as this game looks, the rain looks like crap.

I hated the keyboard and mouse.
I used my xbox360 controller and once I got rolling on that, things improved dramatically.

Sounds like it will be better on console.
Glad I got it for the PS4 and not my PC

From everything I have read this game was designed for a controller.

Any one know where I can buy tonic/grenade/potion recipes and rune crafting materials?
I haven't got to sky hold yet, so maybe that's the issue. I see where to buy weapon and armor schematics in val rayouex but not recipes. Is there a shop in red cliff I'm missing?

Yeah that means nothing, I haven't done the heart burning quest yet, that's next

One thing that does bug me is when you buy weapons schematics you can't see what tier or stats of the schematic is
