I'm a HMG kinda guy, would have loved that one.
It's called The Truth. It randomly dropped for me in the crucible as well. Probably won't even level it up. but its nice to show off for now.

Legendary Engrams don't mean jack shite in this game. Get a Legendary Engram, get a blue weapon or armor lower than everything you have.

At least you can only purchase engrams with glimmer. Could easily see people dumping cash into buying them impulsively in a freemium model.

I think it's one exotic weapon and one exotic armor can be equipped at the same time.

Did anyone's Vanguard Armory file not download correctly? Keeps giving me an error when I try to restart the download

Mine did that on the initial download. I tried to restart, but apparently it had already re-downloaded for me. I looked at my add-ons under the game and it was checked off.

Hmmm... it seems Bungie is performing an update to the game at the moment. I wonder what they're fixing and (or) updating? It probably has something to do with the Vault of Glass opening up tomorrow for those who have hit 26+... but I'm still hoping they incorporate a tweak to the engram item probability.

Neither do I but it is absurdly difficult to get legendary items out of legendary engrams which are extremely difficult to find.

They should've at least just made legendary engrams harder to get and given them a higher chance of being legendary items, rather than making them hard to get and just as likely to be shitty items.

Where can I check for this? And what exactly does having that get you?
Ok I see that I have it downloaded...I thought having that meant you get some exclusive early weapons or armor or something? How do I find that?
