So I bought an Exotic Engram and got apotheosis vail and grinded out enough vanguard marks to purchase a chest piece for my warlock. Also maxed out my void subclass and am now working on my solar subclass



Now I just need leg armor but I'm close to maxing out my Vanguard marks but even if I do, I'll still be short on being able to purchase Leg armor until the reset.

All good man. Once you hit 20, you can start acquiring better armor with light stats to increase your overall level. Once you get enough armor with light stats to get to about 25/26 Vault of Glass (normal) opens up so you can acquire light level 30 armor and 300 weapons. Or you can grind out vanguard/crucible rep and marks to buy light level 31 armor and 331 weapons. Depending on your disposition on grinding for and buying gear, I'd suggest the latter option because the armor and weapons you'd receive from Vault of Glass (VOG) would be max 30 armor and 300 weapons (excluding the chance of an exotic which is now 331). I'd suggest buying an exotic helmet or grinding out to purchase a legendary helmet because helmets only drop on VOG hard mode which is level 30 so I'd suggest buying a helmet first.

Crotas end (CE) is out of the question for you at the moment due to enemies in normal mode being at level 30 during the first section and increases up a level each stage with enemies being 32 at the final stage. At your current level, every enemy will have "???" Over their heads meaning you can't damage or kill them.

Start with getting some better armor and weapons and start with VOG normal and once you hit at least 30, move on to VOG hard to try and score a helmet and/or vex Mythoclast (Dat Mythoclast ). And then you can move on to CE.

Yes, technically once you hit 29 or 30 you COULD do CE on normal but it's best to get used to raids before hand and obtain the best gear you can prior to attempting CE.
