shite I breezed through Blighttown, it's just a majorly nerfed version of Demon's Souls Valley of Defilement.

Tomb of the Giants and Sen's Fortress kicked my arse, though. I think it had to do with my glass canon-INT class. It was great for taking out bosses, but not very efficient for regular enemies and especially not for PvP. I was a terrible summon for other people to have when they got invaded.

Pyromancer was my favorite on there. You can level your pyromancy pretty easy without having to level your character.

One easy way to get souls is to drop your summon sign near a boss you've already beaten (and would feel comfortable that you could beat again). Someone summons you, you jump in, kill boss, easy souls.

I've had tons of luck doing that in Blighttown with quelagg. Roof Gargoyles might be a good spot too.

I'm popping this when I get home today to work towards the DLC. If I see you on we can chat and I'll drop a sign and help you out if you need it. I have a character at lvl 36 I think for my new game. I had gotten pretty good and then quit playing, now I don't remember the controls

Try to get the Drake sword from the dragon on the bridge. Probably the most powerful weapon that early. And pay attention to how the weapons and armor level and how you can upgrade them. Some of them are a pain to upgrade b/c the material is rare

I found a walkthru guide. Ill stop with the noob questions. I see firelink shrine is a main hub. Im gonna grind undead burg and buy a bunch of shite from the vendor. Taurus demon dies tonight. Might even jack that Black Knight a-hole too.

Taurus is tough the first time around.

Use the ladder, firebombs, and well timed diving lunges to fell that mofo.

You don't have to grind that early. When you finish up the Burg and the Gargoyles, head to the depths and kill Gaping Dragon, from there you can go to Blighttown and to Quelaag. You should be able to net alot of souls in the depths; you can farm the slugs in the depths and Blighttown for large titinite shards. just remember to upgrade your gear -- it's more important than stats. And don't upgrade the Drake sword.

I just got to Gwyn on my first play through and he is kicking my arse. If anyone would be willing to help I would really appreciate it. I am level 70 and playing on the PS3.

I don't know if you guys get into watching Dark Souls streams, but if find yourself with lots of time on your hands, I recommend watching Jeff Green's blind playthrough on YouTube. His user name is Greenspeak, and they are all uploaded. Overall it is hilarious.

Yea I've tried to parry him, but I have never done it before, so it is not really working.

Practice on the black knights. Use a shield with 100% damage reduction, block his first swing and try to parry the second. Use hornet ring.

Thank God its tax season. Wife's a CPA and working looooong hours for the next month.

Plenty of time to do nothing but play DS2 after work. May have to start a new character this weekend and see how far I get. Knock off the rust.

I finally beat Gwyn but I just used my +5 fire halberd and full black knight Armour and poked him to death.

Anyone else roll a sorcerer build? If you get the master key as a gift and go to blight town first thing (and pick up the tin banishment catalyst) it honestly makes the game pretty easy. By the time I was in the burg my Int was high enough to 3 hit the taurus with heavy soul arrow and 4 hit the capra with great soul arrow. Not too bad

While you're down there, go farm the slugs for green titanite. You get 5 shards per each green titanite drop, so you only need 2 drops. Then take those shards to Rickert, and have him turn your weapon of choice into a +5 magic weapon. Then once you get the enchanted ember, you can have him make that +5 magic weapon into an enchanted weapon.
