Amazon should have it on the porch when we get home. He's been on a countdown since April 4th.

This will be my first Dark Souls game. Mainly getting it because a bunch of my coworkers are big into it.

So what I have gathered over the last couple of years is that this game is about learning the correct combos/moves to defeat each boss, there is no hand holding so you may end up in an area you shouldn't be in. I see a lot of people running past "trash" mobs, is this normal thing to do, I am usually a kill everything type of player?

Screw that! That's mostly for boss runs. Kill EVERYTHING!

If you wipe enough times on a boss...you will get sick of clearing trash for the 20th time and will begin running by it, yes.
This is only advisable if you know exactly where the fog door is.
