Wait until you get to the defiled dungeons, when your HP bar is cut in half and normal enemies two-shot you.

Doing a cursed, depth 5 chalice dungeon is miserable. You're better off running to open doors and chests, than trying to stay and fight. The bosses can take some time to get good enough to flawless too.

Anyone have any tips for amygdala? The damage my axe does is just not enough and it's at +7 or 8. Any specific armor or anything I should wear? I only tried once but I used 21 vials, 3 bolt papers, 2 fire papers, and 10 molotovs and only got it down to maybe half health before dying. I would literally hit it with the axe sometimes and no health would be taken off. Any tips or tricks? I'm level 68 btw

Hit it in the head, not the extremities. I killed it on my second try after figuring this out. I'm only level 47.
You should breeze through him now that you know.

Only took me 2 tries for the witches. I was a couple of hits away the first time when they stunned me and about 4 guys ganged up on me

May have already been answered, but if I didn't like the Souls games will I like this one?
I couldn't stand the wait and attack/reposte style of the first few, among other things, but from what I've read and seen that style of gameplay is more absent for this title.

Definitely. This is everything you love in the souls game but with more aggressive, less defensive style gameplay. There are no shields (outside of a worthless one you get early on)
The health regen system is also setup in a more offensive way. When you take damage you have a short window of time after to try and get some of it back by hitting the enemy.
