took me up until rom before i figured that you dont just get invaded like in souls. you have to ring the sinister bell, which lets you invade people who are beckoning (or lets people invade you). keeps going until you use a silencing blank. pretty stupid system imo. bring back regular invasions. i havent used a beckoning bell bc i always like to beat my first playthrough by myself

Once you have enough HP/defense not to die when it "crushes" you, you will find out. That is all I will say.

With over 80 hours in, I've yet to be invaded. Made a new character, and I've been trying to invade in heavy co-op areas and nothing.
I don't know how some players are getting so much pvp action. And I've got my network set to worldwide.

Yeah I haven't been invaded either at all. The only hunters I've seen have been the in game ones.
I think I found all the lamps in the first headstone, made it to lvl 75. Still have the nightmare frontier left, but am trying to find some of the things I missed in the first three headstones first. Kinda feels like I'm running out of things to find.

I've gotten invaded several times but I've also stood around for a long time waiting to be invaded and not gotten anyone.

It just happened to me and it looked like the same thing but the hand grabbed me almost immediately unlike last time when you have time to get out of the way.
ETA: Damn it took me three tries to grab my blood echoes and get away without being grabbed again.

So i got captured by the guys sack, twss, and taken to the unseen village. Had to go back through this thread about 30 pages because I remember people talking about where the lamp was. Barely made it to the lamp, guy nearly killed me. Also bought some gaming headphones, instead of just using TV sound. Game is way creepier because I can now make out the little subtle screams and cries that I couldn't before. Also can hear all the whispers and shite that's packed into this game clearly

I've been using the gold headset and it's been great. there are so many creepy noises in this game. There are some other headphone options too. I'm not an audiophile, I just wanted it to be simple.
