Have you encountered the two hunters to the right of the Amelia arena? I killed the one with the electric rod and shield but the blunderbuss guy kicked my arse a few times before I started avoiding him.

Nope, I decided to kill Amenia before I venture down either direction.

Do the hunters reappear like normal enemies do?
Posted on 4/6/15 at 2:31 pm to Phate
Nope. They're the "Black Knights" of bloodborne

I stumbled into Amelia's arena, died in 5 secs and decided, nope I want to explore. Went right, encountered 2 hunters. Killed one, the other killed me about 8 times. Decided that left must be better. Found a gaunlet of snipers, hounds, witches and trolls. Fought my way through and stumbled into another boss fight. After 3rd failed attempt I started reminiscing about getting mauled by Amelia like it was a fond memory compared to this torture. Went back to Amelia, died in 10 secs. Bloodborne!

What is up with the room after the hunters in that direction. There was a big room with a closed door in it and when I tried to open the door it said it wouldn't open, then a semi-visible demon looking thing picked me up and crushed me to death.
Related to the above, what is frenzy and how is it avoided or removed? I lost a lot of echoes when the guys right outside Vicar's lair hit me with frenzy when I was going to retrieve the ones dropped by the door demon.

I heard somewhere that you learn more about it later. I gained 1 insight for it hurting me though.

Anyone been stunning with the gun much? I feel like I need to learn to use it more
Posted on 4/6/15 at 3:30 pm to Mr Gardoki
I've been trying to force myself to against tougher enemies. The few times I've pulled off a stun/visceral attach have been really satisfying and effective...I've just never really been much of a parry guy throughout the series so it's an adjustment.

It's a very useful mechanic against some bosses but I usually would rather dodge than parry.

I fought a boss in the third chalice dungeon that let me practice this as he just sits there swinging away at you even when you aren't near him, so you can practice stunning him and getting visceral attacks off. I don't usually try it too much when in the heat of battle though, because I usually mistime it and it is easier to just dodge and counter.

I saw a video with blood starved beast where someone just kept stunning. I held the torch with amelia because fire worked well.

Frenzy is just a certain amount of damage of inflicted once that little meter fills up. The higher your insight, the more damage done.
I have 52 insight and get raped (near one-shot) if I get frenzied. There's this big brain thing in nightmare frontier that just looks at you and frenzies you

I've been playing offline so far. Has anyone playing online been invaded? Also when you ring the beckoning bell how long does it usually take for someone to join your game?

I killed her my second try after I figured out her gimmick. That didn't fit the tone of my post I was going for so just go with it.
