Yeah, so the guy in the vehicle sees a flashing indicator where the person is. I always ignore it, and yes Broke they can hear it provided they are close enough. It's the same for ammo and health requests and I know people hear those.

A lot of people are bad, and don't pay attention/cant read their minimap/ignore obvious signs

Whenever people spam me with the health requests I pull out my M320 and shoot them with it to indicate that I don't have a health pack. They request anyways.

I make sure to look on their back for the medpack kit before requesting 
But yeah... I know some ppl rock m320 and that's fine...but...if I can see your backpack, I'm gonna request over and over until I regen to100

Taking my tumb off a key button to mash back can be trouble if you are in a tight spot.

Pressing the back button has become second nature for me. I'll be requesting pick up when I ain't even requesting pick up. Sometimes I jump in just cause they stopped, eventhough I wasn't looking to get picked up.
Question - what map do you hate the most? For me, it's Wake Island. I don't fly much on any map so that is probably why.
