I'm pretty sure it has DLSS so a 2070 should be able to.

That doesn't mean anything.

BFV sees a 20-30 FPS gain from DLSS at 4K ultra.

How bad will it be to go from 1440p to 1080p if I have to to run this game w any decency? I haven’t played a game in 1080p in probably more than a year and a half.

But are you saying with DLSS my build could be hopeful for 1440p medium settings? I have a 165Hz monitor but honestly 60+ FPS is fine to me.

It will easily get over 60 FPS, probably without DLSS. BFV 2070 ultra 1440p got 88 fps average. DLSS you can prob get 100.

Have you guys been seeing any of the leaked play test videos? I'm a little concerned with how this game looks. Not graphics or anything...I mean how it looks like it plays. It looks like chaos. No teamwork. No stealth. No couth. It's just...mass hysteria.

The movements look rough. That may be due to the state of the game at the time of the play test build. But it just doesn't look like the guns are weighty or have impact. I don't know...I'm just a little concerned that this might not be all that great at the core of it, without all the cool stuff like the Portal (which I'm really pumped about).

The "No Pats" bullshite is so lame to me. Why can't we have factions like the US, China, Russia, OpFor? No Pats is a lame cop out.

I've thought about how I'll probably spawn in and die within 3 mins and have no idea how I died.

It's just a tad bit worrisome. I hope I'm way off.

The feedback I left them was that I thought 64v64 felt like 32v32, at least for the single test map we played.

It played really well and wasn't too chaotic and felt like it was normal.

Movements felt fine for 30fps, Battlefield always "feels" great.

RIP Irish.

looks like a delay is incoming....but not too bad

quote:

Battlefield 2042's release date looks set to slip back, according to various reports today - although the wait may not be too long.

Word of an imminent delay first emerged from Venturebeat's ever-chatty Jeff Grubb, who alluded to an impending launch of a major game being postponed - before naming Battlefield 2042 via his Discord. Reliable Battlefield insider Tom Henderson then reported he had heard Battlefield 2042 would be delayed "by several weeks and not months" but all of this was still "unfolding" at EA internally.

Officially, the long-awaited next installment in DICE's Battlefield series is still currently set to arrive for PC, PlayStation and Xbox on 11th October. EA declined to comment on whether this date still stood when contacted by Eurogamer this afternoon.

EA is also still to confirm final dates for Battlefield 2042's open beta, which was previously set for September. There's no word on whether this will also be delayed - but only two weeks of the month now remain.

If I have to be completely honest, I am not impressed with any of the leaked footage I've seen. Beyond the graphics being alpha or whatever, the game just doesn't look like it plays how I'd expect it to. It looks fast and chaotic.

Too much going on. And frankly, I don't understand the specialists. Is this a blue vs. blue type thing?

World War 3, a game currently in prerelease on Steam for PC, looks like a great free to play alternative if and when it is released on consoles.
