I just beat it much more quickly than I've ever beaten an Assassin's Creed game. That was really disappointing.
The good:
The gameplay is incredibly smooth and the kill moves are awesomely violent.
The Atair stories are interesting and cool, but they are short. I've always found Altair's story to be more interesting than Ezio's.
The scenery looks absolutely fantastic.
The bombs are a fun addition, but not really useful outside of their novelty.
The bad:
Tower defense--I won 1 out of 3 and then I just realized it was easier to just let them take the den and then kill off their den captain and take it back.
The game is WAY too short and too easy. It really seem like just some extra stuff thrown away to finish up Ezio's story. The story wasn't really deep or interesting at all.
Desmond's memory sequences are just weird and boring.
Not nearly as many side missions as in the previous ones. (At least I didn't find many. If I'm missing something, lemme know)
Overall, it was fun but disappointingly easy, short, and simple.

I disagree, I have been using the hell out of them. It has gotten to the point where I stopped using them in order to make the game more difficult.

Just finished this. I did not enjoy it as much as brotherhood. Seemed somewhat lifeless. I would score it 7.5.

Wasn't nearly as good a BH, but it was a fine game overall, they removed a big part of what made BH fun in that you had to unlock your gear, they just gave you everything from pretty much the beginning.

I just had a feeling that I was doing things just for completions sake rather than building up to anything. I rarely used bombs, I didn't like having to retake dens, I didn't enjoy the defend your den parts either. Like a previous poster said, I realized there is no point to trying to win the defense, not to mention it is not easy to do.

Just Beat AC:R And I have to say.... 10 a fricking 10... I can't wait till AC III .... And the AC movie... This game was one of the best in the series and will be playing it over to get 100% ending soon!

The story I agree could have finshed a little better but the ending was really amazing to me and I enjoyed the hell out of the whole game ... Yes even tower defense... My only problem was how fast u would lose the cities after u spend so much time taking then over and having to build them up agian....
Brotherhood took a while to lose the city ....
But anyway when u find altiar at the end.... One of the best moments in the series....

I also enjoyed the Rome and Venice locations better than Constantinople.

"Full Synchronization: Don't let the Herald take any damage"
frick this side-quest. Every damn time, either the other assassin would hit him, or someone would sneak by and tap him.
Insert gold filled bomb. All the citizens grab the attackers as they run in. Much easier!
I hadn't used them much before then. I'm working on clearing everything I can before advancing (sequence 3 currently I think). Enjoying the assassin's creed gameplay as usual.

Revelations is the worst of the Ezio story lines.

i bought the game for $39.99 at walmart today, but I borrowed ACII and brotherhood from a fellow co-worker. Gonna play them first then play revelations.

Back from vacation and about to take a stab out of this game, how long is the gameplay for those who beat the game already?
Posted on 11/23/11 at 11:03 pm to RolandDeschain
If u run right through it and don't do the few side quest and collecting and don't worry about 100% sync maybe 10-15 hours

The game looks great on PC, I'm a few hours into the game so far.

Finished it with near 100% (just some guild challenges I didn't finish). Didn't check the time played though I left it on while playing other games at times.
I actually like the way the story wrapped up, and the extra information given into Altair's path. Desmond's memories were trippy but gave a bit of the backstory that was asked for after the last few games.

I finished this game last week. Overall it was a good game and I loved stepping back into Ezio's shoes. I would put it as the 3rd best game of the series with II and Brotherhood the clear tops and the first game way in last place.
II and Brotherhood felt like one big, long story to me. It all dealt with the death of Ezio's family and his quest for revenge. I also loved the setting of Italy and all of the different cities you visited (especially Florence, Venice and Rome). Revelations felt like a completely new story in Ezio's life with some references to the past.
Constantinople was a cool city, just not as fun for me. I didn't recognize many of the landmarks (Italy is probably more well known to most people) which hurt. Climbing a building in Revelations didn't pack the same WOW factor as seeing the Colisseum or climbing the Duomo. I did love the ziplines throughout the city.
The secret locations were as fun as ever. Less combat and more quick explorations.
Bombs did nothing for me...my fault, though. I'm sure I'll play through again someday and I'll try and mess with this more. But they were not important to finishing the game.
Den Defense was horrible...glad there was a way to eventually lock down all of your bases. I absolutely hated this part.
The game was either a decent length or very short depending on how you played. I explored everything and did most every side quest/adventure I could find and got at least 20-25 hours out of the game. If you stuck to the main story it seems like you could knock it out in 10 hours or less. Especially the last 4 or 5 memories. I ran through those in no time after finishing everything else in the game.
Altair was a cool side story...and that's it. Very quick side story. At least 2 of the sequences involve just walking from point A to point B.
Desmond was interesting because of the different gameplay. But it was way out of place for the rest of the AC stuff. This plus Den Defense were two examples that show the 6 different studios working seperately on the game to get it out in a year.
Overall, it was still a better than average game. If you like the first two Ezio stories this is a must play. It really was unique to follow such a great character literally from birth to the end (although you have to watch Embers to see through to the end).

Just finished the game and I thought BH was a better game overall. This game was extremely short and didn't have much depths as previous Assassin Creeds. We barely learned anything about the background of the apple until a small tidbit at the end. 7.5/10 for me.
